이 깨어남에 이른 이들 중 많은 이들이, 일으켜지는 몸부림을 겪어야 했다

왜냐하면 우리의 세상을 향한 욕망이 살아있는 한, 진리의 긴급함은 줄어든다
어떤 존재들은, 그들이 육체적으로 죽는 존재가 끝날 가능성을 마주할 때,
그러면 마음의 온 어리석음이 자동적으로 떨어진다, 수행 없이도
하지만 그건 그래야 할 필요 없다
여기에 있는 이들은, 세상에는 항상 그런 이들이 있다, 불타야 할 필요가 없는
그들은 단지 이 열망을 갖고 있다, 때때로 무엇을 위한 것인지 알아차려지지 않는 때에도,
어떤 박동이 그들을 끌어, 마음과 제한된 인식의 장을 넘어서도록 한다

sometimes we find ourselves again in the form of personhood of living a story of mind, past, future and so on
that is ok in its own way
i don't want to put any energy on trying so much to correct that life
yet some energy goes to learn from that, to grow from our experiences
but very unusual opporutnity is presented to go beyond, to go behind the facade or screen of personhood
into the realm of pure existence
and by words it's more complex than it actually is
because i'm not even speaking of a journey
the mind loves the adventure of journeys, all the wonderful things appeal to spiritual directed mind,
but always it itself is always present within

때때로 우리는 우리 자신이 다시 마음, 과거, 미래 등의 이야기를 사는 제한된 성격의 모습으로 있는 것을 발견한다
그것은 그것 자신의 방식으로 괜찮다
나는 그 삶을 바로잡기 위해 너무나 많애 애쓰는데 에너지를 들이고 싶지 않다
어떤 에너지는 그것에서 배운다, 우리 경험들에서 성장한다
하지만 아주 평범하지 않은 기회가 제시된다,
제한된 성격의 정면 혹은 화면 뒤로 혹은 벗어나 순수한 존재의 영역으로 갈 수 있다

그리고 말로 하는 그것은 실제인 것보다 복잡하다
나는 여정이라고도 하지 않는다
마음은 여행의 모험을 좋아한다, 온갖 놀라운 것들이 영적으로 지향되는 마음을 잡아당긴다,
하지만 항상 그것 자체는 안에 존재한다

and discovering of it and the seeming merging in it,
i feel this is the only highest that is possible within a human birth

그리고 그것을 발견하는 것과 그것에 합쳐지는 것으로 보이는 것,
나는 이것이 인간의 탄생에서 가능한 단 하나의 가장 높은 것이라 느낀다

simply to point out the one thing you can never not be
but can only realize in a moment of really seeing
so the pointing is quite simple, the seeming difficulty comes because of the reflex of attention to keep feeding the mind oriented person
no need to try to kill the person, but to see it from your true light
that the person along with its world, both appear together on the screen of consciousness
mean that they are perceivable
that which is perceiving them cannot be visually perceived

단순하게 그대가 아닐 수 없는 그 한 가지를 가리키는 것이다
하지만 정말로 바라보는 순간에 알아차릴 수 있을 뿐이다
그래서 가리킴은 아주 단순하다,
바라보는 어려움이 오는 것은, 주의가 계속해서 마음이 끄는 제한된 인식에 먹이를 주는 습성 때문이다
제한된 인식을 죽이려 할 것 없다, 그것을 그대의 진짜 빛에서 바라본다
제한된 인식은 그것의 세상과 더불어, 둘 다 의식의 화면에 나타나 보인다
그것들은 인식가능하다는 뜻이다
그것들을 인식하는 그것은 시각적으로 인식될 수 없다

i give an example that a knife can cut so many things, but it cannot cut itself
or eyes see so many forms, subtle and gross, but they cannot see themselves
or scale weigh so many objects accurately, but it cannot weigh itself, why?
because it is one, and in order to experience something, there has to be at least two
the experiencer and that which is experienced

내가 예를 든다,
칼은 아주 많은 것들을 자를 수 있다, 하지만 그 자신을 자를 수 없다
혹은 눈은 아주 많은 형상들을 본다, 미묘하고 짙은 것, 하지만 눈 자신을 볼 수 없다
저울은 아주 많은 물건들을 정확하게 잰다, 하지만 그 자신은 잴 수 없다, 왜 인가
하나인 것이기 때문이다,
무언가를 경험하기 위해서는, 적어도 둘이 있어야 한다
경험하는 자와 경험되는 것

so the true self, you, cannot see yourself
we may see versions presented of what we are
you can see the idea of yourself
but the self is indivisible and everywhere present
it cannot be seen dualistically
it cannot be seen as an object
only through the faculty of imgagination, we imagine we see
therefore it is said, what you are searching for is behind even the one who is searching
it is so incredibly simple and obvious
yet its obviousness that is only obvious when is obvious
meaning, that is already here, but until it is recognized, it's not effective
i don't know if the word effective is the right one

그래서 진짜 자신, 그대 는 그대 자신을 볼 수 없다
우리는 우리인 것이라 제시되는 버전들을 볼 수는 있다
그대는 그대 자신에 대한 생각을 볼 수 있다
하지만 자신 은 나뉘어질 수 없다, 그리고 모든 곳에 존재한다
그것은 이원적으로 보일 수 없다
대상으로 보일 수 없다

오로지 상상력을 통해, 우리가 우리라 상상할 수 있다
그래서 그대가 찾고 있는 것은 찾는 자 뒤에 있다 라 말한다
그것은 너무나 믿을 수 없도록 간단하고 명백하다
하지만 그것의 명백함은, 명백할 때 명백할 뿐이다
이미 여기에 있다는 뜻이다, 하지만 그것이 알아차려질 때까지 효과는 없다
효과 라는 말이 맞는 말인지 모르겠다

when we come to the recognition of obviousness of the truth,
then our lives shine with that light in that wisdom, with love and harmony, joy, peace
but the mind is very clever, like many things it merely wants to enjoy, to turn it into an adventure and to be proud around it

우리가 진리의 명백함을 알아차리게 될 때
그러면 우리 삶은 그 지혜 안에서 그 빛으로 빛난다, 사랑과 조화, 기쁨, 평화로
하지만 마음은 아주 영리하다, 많은 것들처럼 그것은 단지 즐기고 싶을 뿐이다, 그것을 모험으로 전환시키고 자랑스러워하는 것으로

and it may be with you from the beginning like that, but as you deepend in your understanding authentically,
the ego loses its grip and it drifts away like cloud in the infinite sky
i don't know how you're hearing this
hear with your mind or inside your heart?
we hear things in the mind, then there's things to hold on to, things to do, things to make true
if i say, if you can hear inside your heart, what does it mean?
it means you're in your natural harmony
everyone is searching for this natural harmony,
because to be in a state of personhood or ego, is a disturbed state
we're so accustomed to these states that they appear normal

그것으로 처음에 그대가 시작한 것일 수 있다, 하지만 그대가 그대의 이해 안에서 진실하게 깊어질수록,
에고는 그것의 장악력을 잃는다, 무한한 하늘의 구름처럼 흩어진다

나는 그대가 이것을 어떻게 듣고 있는지 모른다
그대의 마음으로 듣는지, 그대의 가슴으로 듣는지
우리가 마음으로 듣는다면, 붙들 것, 해야 할 것, 실현시켜야 할 것들이 있다
그대가 그대의 가슴 안에서 듣는다면, 그것은 무슨 뜻인가
그것은 그대가 그대의 자연스러운 조화 안에 있다는 것이다
모두가 이 자연스러운 조화를 찾고 있다
제한된 성격이나 에고의 상태에 있는 것은 동요되어 있는 상태이기 때문이다
우리는 이런 상태들에 아주 익숙해서, 그것들이 정상으로 보인다

as soon as you're waking up to truth, you see how abnormal ego is,
a stage, a state to transcend
and it is transcendable
all of the mystery is in the mind
it's as though the real pilgrimage is from here(머리) to here(가슴)
as a symbol
we may go all over the world, and still miss it

그대가 진리에 깨어나자마자, 그대는 에고가 얼마나 비정상적인지 본다
하나의 단계, 변형시켜야 할 하나의 상태다
그리고 그것은 변형시킬 수 있다
신비라고 하는 모든 것이 마음에 있다
진짜 순례란 머리에서 가슴으로 가는 것인 것 같다
상징으로
우리는 세상 모든 곳을 갈 수 있다, 그럼에도 그것을 놓친다

still i share these things, and i know they are not enough
it's not more that is needed, but is that we become absorbed in it
as though there is merging, i say, as though,
perhaps more that there is dissolving
but if i say, dissolving of what is unreal, at some stage you'll say also, if that is unreal, what is to dissolve?
and now we must watch for cleverness
the path to truth is very subtle,
but whatever it takes, each one of you have abundance
only right guidance recieved with earnestness, and perhaps even a touch of emergency helps

내가 이런 것들을 나누지만, 그것으로 충분하지 않다는 것을 안다
필요한 것은 더 하는 것이 아니라, 우리가 그것에 흡수되는 것이다
합쳐짐이 있는 것처럼
나는, 그런 것처럼 이라 말한다
아마 보다는 사라지는 것일 것이다

하지만 내가 진짜가 아닌 것이 사라진다 라 하면,
어느 단계에서 그대가, '그것이 진짜가 아니라면, 사라질 것이 무엇인가' 라 말할 것이다
그리고 이제 우리는 영리함을 조심해야 한다
진리로의 길은 아주 미묘하다
하지만 그것에 무엇이 들든, 그대들 각자 풍요롭게 갖고 있다
오로지 올바른 지침이 진지함으로 받아들여져서, 그리고 아마 긴급함이 닿는 것도 도움이 된다

many of those who came to this realization had to be struggle it prompted
because as long as our desire for the world is kept alive, the urge of truth diminishes
some beings, when they face the possibility of the end of our physical mortal existence,
then all the foolishness of the mind fall away automatically, even without practice
but it needs not be so
there are some here, some in the world always, who don't need to be burnt,
they have just this urge, sometimes not even recognized what is for, but some pulsations drive them to go beyond the field of mind and the person
