그대가 이것이 되는 것이 아니다 그대의 마음에서 그대가 아닌 것이 풀린다

words, concepts cannot catch him

before the first thought arises,

before the first thought arises in consciousness is i

i am, a wordless thought

an intuition, a sense i exist

only after the arising of the i exist, can other things appear to exist

because it is to the i that they exist to

it is the i that perceive them

what is this i?

 

그대가 할 수 있는 만큼 시도해봐라

말, 개념 은 그 를 잡을 수 없다

첫번째 생각 이전

첫번째 생각이 의식에서 일어나기 전에 '나' 가 있다

'내가 있다', 말 없는 생각

직관, 내가 존재한다는 느낌

내가 존재한다 가 일어난 이후에야, 다른 것들이 존재하는 것으로 나타나 보일 수 있다

그것들은 나 에게 존재하는 것이기 때문이다

그것들을 인식하는 것은 나 이다

이 나 가 무엇인가

 

everyone says, whether by word or by feeling, i am, i exist

without the words, before the words form, it is with you, waking consciousness,

the name of the waking consciousness is i am

but that i am is wrongly identified to be merely a person which is temporary state of mind

the i am is consciousness, which is the space in which you are perceiving right now,

all actions, even the subtlest of the actions register and are appearing in that consciousness i am

 

모두가 말한다, 말에 의해서건 느낌에 의해서건,

내가 있다, 내가 존재한다

말 없이, 말이 형성되기 이전에, 그것은 그대와 있다, 깨어나 있는 의식

깨어나 있는 의식의 이름은, 내가 있다 이다

when you say, i am, am means to exist, i exist

what is the i that exist?

they say, consciousness, because without consciousness, there can be no experiences, no identity, no life

consicousness is our fundamental nature of ourselves

 

그대가, 내가 있다 라 할 때,

있다 는 존재한다는 것이다, 내가 존재한다

존재하는 나 는 무엇인가

의식이라고 말한다, 왜냐하면 의식 없이는 경험, 동일시, 삶이 있을 수 없기 때문이다

의식은 우리의 근본적인 본성이다

 

there's something i'd like to tell you, but i don't know if you're ready for it

but i will take risk to tell you

that consciousness i am, itself arises,

it is the name of waking state, i am

if i am which was not there in deep sleep arose in what you call the waking state,

it must arise in something that is already there

this that is here prior to consciousness

when i say, consciousness, i mean, the functional, instrumental consciousness in which the world of names and forms and experiencing, and the sense of self as the experiencer, manifest as i am consicousness,

arises

and that which perceives the arising of consciousness is beyond

but beyond where?

 

나는 그대에게 말하고 싶은 것이 있다, 하지만 그대가 그것에 준비가 되어 있는지 모르겠다

is itself the proof that you are beyond them

 

거리나 시간의 측면에서가 아니라, 미묘함에서의 벗어남

나는 그대가 아직 이것을 알리라 기대하지 않는다

왜냐하면 그대는 그대가 좋아하는 도구롤 갈 것이다, 마음,

그 자체가 일어나는 것이다

그리고 그대가 그대의 생각과 느낌, 감각, 꿈, 그대의 동일시조차 인식할 수 있다는 그 사실이

그 자체가, 그대가 그것들을 벗어나 있다는 입증이다

and purpose of the exercise that you have participated in is to verify experientially that i am

not the words, that i am

but the knowingness which is synonymous with your being

you don't have to go to your mind, your mind cannot confirm this

that's another proof, it must be confirmed somewhere else, i may call it the heart

you don't have to understand all of this right now

but the supreme, i call the lord of the universe, has prepared the mind and the beingness for this darshan of understanding

it is not something that you can go on studying

but i can only show you, if you're open to have this knowledge stablized in you, then you can choose now

because that is what opens the gate of grace

 

그리고 그대가 참여해 온 연습의 목적은 경험상 내가 있다 를 확인하는 것이다

내가 있다 는 말이 아니라

그대의 존재와 같은 앎

 

그대는 그대의 마음으로 갈 필요 없다, 그대의 마음은 이것을 확인할 수 없다

그것이 또 다른 입증이다, 다른 어딘가에서 확인되어야 한다는 것, 나는 그것을 가슴 이라 하겠다

 

그대는 지금 이 모든 것을 이해할 필요 없다

하지만 최상, 내가 존재계의 신 이라 부르는 이는

이 이해의 축복을 위해 마음과 존재를 준비시킨다

그것은 그대가 계속 공부할 수 있는 것이 아니다

나는 그대에게 보여줄 수 있을 뿐이다, 그대가 이 앎이 그대 안에서 안정되도록 열려 있다면,

그러면 그대는 지금 선택할 수 있다

왜냐하면 그것이 은혜로움의 문을 여는 것이기 때문이다

 

so you continue to deepen in some mysterious way until

not that you become this, but you unbecome what you are not in your mind

and i want to share this with you because grace flows for you

when you say, 'i am open to you'

not by force, but by grace of God

 

그러니 그대는 계속해서 신비로운 방식으로 깊어진다

그대가 이것이 되는 것이 아니다

그대의 마음에서 그대가 아닌 것이 풀린다

나는 이것을 그대와 나누고 싶다, 은혜로움이 그대를 향해 흐르기 때문이다

그대가 '나는 당신에게 열려있다' 라고 할 때

강압에 의해서가 아니라, 신의 은혜로움에 의해
