그대가 본다는 것도, 그대가 본다

the realization of the self is not in conflict with the dynamic life

but it does not fall into any obssession or addiction to any experience

why? because it is complete

 

자신 에의 깨어남은 역동적인 삶과 충돌하지 않는다

하지만 그것은 어느 경험에 대해서도 집착이나 중독에 빠지지 않는다

왜 인가, 그것은 완전하기 때문이다

 

i'm not here to teach in the way that you must learn, but only that you see

and even that you see, you see

 

나는 그대가 배워야 하는 식으로 가르치고 있지 않다, 그대가 볼 뿐이다

그리고 그대가 본다는 것도, 그대가 본다

 

'there is a prayer for earnestness and not to fall asleep'

 

'진지하도록, 잠에 빠지지 않도록 기도한다'

 

this prayer for earnestness is authentic

because of the seeming persistence and the reflex, the tendency to slip into the phenomenal identity

so earnestness is your zen stick, it is your angel, it is your friend, is your support

that earnestness keeps you here

you're not merely living life, you're life

and at the same time, the flow of life is observed in you

so it's as though you are the movement and you're not

we are the movement relatively, and absolutely you're the unchanging

a paradox that will become nicely complete in you

not here in the head, but in the heart of experiencing

 

진지함을 구하는 이 기도는 진실하다

왜냐하면 끈질기게 그리고 반사작용처럼, 현상적인 동일시로 들어서버리는 습성 때문이다

그래서 진지함은 그대의 선 막대기다, 그대의 천사다, 그대의 친구다, 그대의 지원이다

그 진지함이 그대를 여기 에 둔다

why? because the earnestness removes the delusion, removes the fog of delusion that keeps us in the belief in personhood

and yet there's no need to fight the sense of personhood

just be aware that the play of personhood is apparent within the unchanging, reality you are

 

그래서 그대가, '나는 진지함을 위해 기도한다' 라 말하는 것을 들을 때, 그것은 옳다

왜 인가, 진지함은 망상을 없애기 때문이다, 우리를 제한된 성격에의 믿음에 두는 망상의 안개를 제거한다

when you came to realization before, you did not construct anything

i did not ask you to imagine or to visualize

it was a sober recognition and non-dual recognition,

non-figurative, non-visual recognition, what is that?

how could you recognize something which is without form?

it must be that that which is recognizing that which is without form, is itself formless?

the relative cannot recognize the absolute

 

그대가 이전에 알아차리게 되었을 때, 그대는 어떤 것도 만들어내지 않았다

나는 그대에게 상상하거나 시각화하라 요청하지 않았다

그것은 제정신인 알아차림, 비이원적 알아차림이었다

비유 아닌, 눈에 보이는 것이 아닌 알아차림, 그것은 무엇인가

for the moment, because of the habit of duality, we say, 'yes i recognize self'

how? what does the self look like in order to be recognized?

what are the qualities, attributes of the self to be recognized?

is a different kind of recognition than the phenomenal recognition? 'oh this is pink ---'

it has no quality of discernment like that

so what kind of recognition? when you hear self recognition

what is recognizing what?

is it one thing recognizing another thing?

there are no words there

you may say that that is your last words in truth

in a way

and yet words continue

the words assault or affect the wordless?

 

당분간은, 이원성의 습관 때문에, 우리가, '그렇다, 난 자신 을 알아본다' 라 말한다

어떻게?

알아보아지는 자신 은 무엇처럼 보이는가

알아보아지는 자신 의 특질, 특성은 무엇인가

'오 이것은 분홍색이다 --' 의 식으로, 현상적으로 알아보는 것과 다른 알아봄인가

그것은 그와 같이 구분하는 특질을 갖고 있지 않다

하지만 말은 계속된다

말이 말 없는 것을 공격하거나 영향을 주는가

 

when we have strong sense of personhood, it's natural that we are searaching for a taste,

a taste that you get through the senses or through the mind

we are addicted to experiencing

that which is aware of the flow of addiction, is that addicted?

when will you be able to answer that?

do you need time?

 

우리가 강하게 제한된 성격의 느낌을 갖고 있을 때, 우리가 맛을 찾는 것은 당연하다,

감각이나 마음을 통해 얻는 맛

우리는 경험에 중독된다

중독의 흐름을 인식하는 그것, 그것은 중독되는가

 

언제 그대가 그것에 답할 수 있을까

그대에게 시간이 필요한가

 

'there is no time --'

 

'시간이란 없다 --'

 

can you hear this? can you really hear that?

where is there no time?

maybe in deep sleep, but you say when you wake up

now in the phenomenal waking state, a voice is saying, 'there is no time'

where in the world would these words be accepted?

 

그대들은 이 말을 들을 수 있는가, 정말로 들을 수 있는가

시간 없는 것이 어디에 있는가

아마 깊은 잠에서는, 하지만 그대는 그대가 깨어나 있을 때 말한다

지금 현상적으로 깨어나 있는 상태에서, 목소리가 말한다, '시간은 없다'

세상 어디에서 이 말들이 받아들여질까

 

in fact, will it be correct for you to tell them, 'there's no time'

unless something speaks those words beyond your control

in which case it is totally correct

 

사실, 그대가 그들에게 말하는 것이 맞는가, '시간은 없다' 라고

그대의 통제를 벗어나 무언가가 말을 통해 얘기하는 것이 아니라면

어느 경우든 그것은 완전히 맞다
