사트상은, 깨어나는 방이다

그대가 한 상태에서 살다가, 보다 높은 상태로 들어설 때에만

그대가 돌아보고 그대가 이전에 있던 단계를 평가할 수 있다

 

그대가 하나의 상태 안에서만 있다면, 그것이 그대의 세상이 된다

그리고 나의 세상을 넘어서는 아무것도 없다면,

그대가 그것에서 나올 때, 그대는 볼 것이다,

와우, 그건 너무나 제한된 것이었다

this simple statement, which i say,

the i am removes the i-me person, and remains in its original blissful state of i am-ness,

removes the person, what it means, removes the belief, the identity,

the fixed identity of personhood

 

이 단순한 말, 내가 말하는 것은,

내가 있다 가 제한된 인식의 나 를 제거하고, 그 본래의 지복스러운 상태의 나임 으로 남는다

 

제한된 인식을 제거한다, 무슨 뜻인가,

믿음, 동일시를 제거한다

제한된 인식으로 고정된 동일시를

 

once it has transcended it, this identity, it can go back,

and actually the identity become very superficial, 

is not like somehow, you've transcended, you have understood now, 

then after, one, somebody call, 'hey George',

-hey, don't call me George, call me the great i am

 

한 번 그것을 변형시키면, 이 동일시는, 돌아갈 수 있다,

그리고 실제로 동일시가 아주 옅어진다

 

그대가 변형시켰다, 이제 이해했다,

그러고나서 누군가가 그대를, '야 George' 라 부른다,

- 나를 George 라 부르지 마라, 위대한 내가 있다 라고 불러라

 

와 같은 식이 아니다

 

no, it doesn't need to say thing,

that's George saying that,

 

아니다, 그렇게 말할 필요가 없다

그런 말은 George 가 하는 말이다

 

it can be whatever, you can be totally natural, in fact,

people who go around saying, 'i'm awake-', is not true,

something becomes very quiet within you, but not fixed,

this quietness must not underestimated,

it feels whole world somehow,

there's joy within you, there's a silence within you, there's a peace within you, there's a love falling out with you,

that can fill the whole world without you feeling exhausted

 

사실 무엇이 되었든, 그대는 완전히 자연스러울 수 있다

 

'나는 깨어났다' 라고 말하며 다니는 사람들은 진실하지 않다

 

무언가 그대 안에서 아주 고요해진다, 하지만 고정되어 있지는 않다

이 고요함은 무시되어서는 안 된다

이것은 온 세상을 느낀다

그대 안에 기쁨이 있다, 그대 안에 침묵이 있다, 그대 안에 평화가 있다, 그대와 더불어 사랑이 쏟아진다

그것이 그대가 지치는 느낌 없이 온 세상을 채울 수 있다

 

but not if you're personal,

so if i can put it in a nutshell, it is to transcend the limited personal identity that we have taken on,

and it's not so innocent because in living like this,

we experience very restricted form of love,

have love, but only for friends-, but not for anybody else,

we have so much limitation is there

 

하지만 그대가 제한되어 있다면, 아니다,

 

그래서 요약하면,

우리가 취해 온 제한된 동일시를 변형시키는 것이다

 

(제한된 동일시) 그것은 그다지 순수하지 않다

이렇게 사는 중에, 우리는 아주 제한된 형태의 사랑을 경험한다

사랑이 있다, 하지만 오직 친구들 등에게만, 그 외 누구에게는 아니다

 

우리는 너무나 많은 제한을 갖고 있다

 

only when you're living one state and entering a higher state,

are you able to look back and evaluated the stage where you were beofre.

if you're only in a state, it becomes your world,

and if there's nothing beyond my world, when you come out of it, you can see, wow, that was such a limitation,

there many for whom the time is coming to somehow leave,

and many who are leaving largely,

and some who have left, have transcended the influence of the psychological identity and are free,

they live in peace

 

그대가 한 상태에서 살다가, 보다 높은 상태로 들어설 때에만

그대가 돌아보고 그대가 이전에 있던 단계를 평가할 수 있다

 

그대가 하나의 상태 안에서만 있다면, 그것이 그대의 세상이 된다

그리고 나의 세상을 넘어서는 아무것도 없다면, 그대가 그것에서 나올 때, 그대는 볼 것이다,

와우, 그건 너무나 제한된 것이었다

 

떠날 때가 다가오는, 무수한 사람들이 있다,

많은 부분을 떠나고 있는 중인 무수한 사람들이 있다

떠난 사람들이 있다, 심리적 동일시의 영향력을 변형시키고 자유로운,

그들은 평화속에 산다

 

do they mean that they don't get, sometimes, some little trouble?

no, they can come, everything can come,

but nothing will overwhelm you

 

그들이 때로 어떤 조금의 문제도 겪지 않는다는 뜻인가

아니다, 나타날 것이다, 모든 것이 올 수 있다

하지만 아무것도 그들을 압도하지 못할 것이다

 

it's not that with this great world, you won't care,

but largely you won't mind things,

it's big difference from me, in different to something,

there has to be some detachments,

but it is a noble detachment, 

it is a wise detachment, 

it means that you are centered inside your own being,

not in a selfish way, not in a ego-centric way,

but in a very harmonious way

 

이 위대한 세상에, 그대가 관심을 갖지 않을 것이라는 게 아니다

많은 것들을 대개는 꺼려하지 않을 것이라는 뜻이다

큰 차이다, 다른 것이다,

 

집착 없음이 있어야 한다

하지만 고귀한 집착 없음이다

현명한 집착 없음이다

그대가 그대 자신의 존재 안에서 중심을 잡고 있다는 뜻이다

이기적인 방식으로가 아니다, 에고 중심의 방식으로가 아니다

아주 조화로운 방식에서이다

 

and when you remain in your harmony,

somehow that harmony which is so missing in the mind of personhood,

helps the state of personhood to somehow resonate in harmony again,

it works like that

 

그리고 그대가 그대의 조화 안에 남아있을 때,

어떻든 제한된 마음 안에서 너무나 잃어가고 있는 조화가,

제한된 인식의 상태를 어떻게든 다시 조화와 일치되도록 돕는다

 

그런 식으로 작용한다

 

change doesn't come only through words,

we're not here only to speak words, but to speak truth,

words by themselves are not true

 

변화는 말만으로 오지 않는다

우리는 말을 하기 위해서만 여기에 있는 것이 아니다, 진리를 말하기 위해서이다

말 만으로는 진짜가 아니다

 

when you recognize again your true place,

you'll have no fascination for the whole identity,

when you're in the identity and thinking

maybe, at least i should offer this something, identity might feel precious,

it's like it gets dressed up, look so precious,

but when you transcend, you see that, 워-, 

that was such a illusion actually

 

그대가 다시 그대의 진짜 자리를 알아차릴 때

그대는 모든 동일시에 대한 매력을 느끼지 않을 것이다

 

그대가 동일시와 생각 안에 있을 때에는, 

내가 뭔가 이것에 내어놓아야 한다,

아마도 동일시가 소중한 것으로 느껴질 수도 있다

옷을 차려입은 것 같다, 아주 소중해 보인다

 

하지만 그대가 변형시킬 때, 그대는 바라본다, 워-

그건 사실 너무나 착각이었다

 

you are not becoming something else, in fact,

our life we've been living as something else, something other than who we truly are,

in Satsang is the waking room actually,

waking up from that understanding

 

사실 그대는 무언가 다른 것이 되어가고 있는 것이 아니다

우리 삶은, 다른 무언가로 살아온 것이었다, 진짜 우리인 것 아닌 다른 무언가

 

사트상은, 깨어나는 방이다

그러한 이해로 깨어나는 것이다
