말을 집어 들지 마라, 얻어내라, 그냥 계속해서 바라봐라

그것을 가르친다거나 스승이 된다거나 하는 어떤 생각도 떨궈라, 그런 것을 집어 들지 마라,

그것은 집어 들기에 가장 커다란 현혹됨 중의 하나기 때문이다

왜냐하면 그것은 그대를 묶을 것이다, 그대가 그저 계속해서 사라질 곳인 곳에서 그대를 계속 유지시킬 것이다

can you be any pride there, or any identity there?

if you genuinely stay there, you'll say even the concept of sage or whatever are just still notions, it is only that that is here, it's not dead,

you may call it God, God is not a bad word, but has limitations to human realm, God appears to human beings as an entity

because we're experiencing what we believe, it's like you can believe something into existence, becomes a fact for you, but it doesn't mean that it is a fact in itself

 

어느 자부심이 있을 수 있는가, 혹은 어느 동일시가?

그대가 진심으로 그곳에 머문다면, 

그대는 현자 혹은 뭐든 의 개념조차 그냥 생각일 뿐이라고 할 것이다,

여기에 있는 것은 오로지 그것 뿐이다, 그것은 죽어 있지 않다

그대는 그것을 신이라 부를 수도 있다, 신은 나쁜 말은 아니다, 하지만 인간의 영역에는 한계를 갖는다, 신은 인간 존재에게 어떤 존재로 나타나 보인다

왜냐하면 우리는 우리가 믿는 것을 경험하기 때문이다, 무언가를 믿어 존재로 만들 수 있다, 그대에게 사실이 된다,

하지만 그것이 그것 자체가 사실이라는 뜻은 아니다

 

because it is at the root, we say, it's not an entity, but it manifest kindness and love, this is a perfume, a joy and peace, wisdom,

so these are kinds of attributes, qualities of some kind of entity

it will appear as an entity if you'll call--

it will manifest through this, but often it is said, it is beyond name and form

and that's why it seems so rare when it takes a shpae of human being, appearing as a seeker of it,

it's very difficult to somehow to be absorbed in that,

because human self is often functioning as subject that wants a conclusion, wants to get something to hold that

so it is very very rare that to come to that level of absoluteness

 

그것은 근원에 있다, 우리는 그것이 어떤 존재가 아니라고 한다,

하지만 그것은 친절과 사랑을 드러낸다, 향기다, 기쁨과 평화, 지혜

이런 것들이 어떤 존재와 같은 것의 특성, 특질들이다

그대가 부를 것이라면--, 어떤 존재로 나타나 보일 것이다

하지만 흔히 그것은 이름과 형상을 벗어나 있다고 말한다

 

그래서 그것이 인간 존재의 모습을 갖추고, 그것을 찾는 자로 나타나면, 

그것에 흡수되는 것이 어떻게 해서인가 아주 어렵다

인간 자신은 결론을 원하는, 붙들 것을 원하는 주체로서 작용하곤 하기 때문이다

그래서 절대 의 단계에 이르는 것이 아주 아주 드물다

 

what is good is to be able to use intelligently looking and introspections,

and somehow cancel out the very gross identity that we hold and imposes limitaions upon our natural being like that

and just be with that

and just keep doing it

and drop any idea of teaching it or being a teacher or, don't pick it up, because this is one of the biggest delusion to pick up,

because it will bind you, will keep you in a place where you're going to just continue dissolving

 

좋은 것은, 지성적으로 바라봄과 탐구를 활용할 수 있는 것이다

그리고 어떻게 해서인가 우리가 붙들고, 우리의 자연스러운 존재에 제한을 가하는, 아주 짙은 동일시를 취소한다

그리고 단지 그것과 있어라

그냥 계속해서 그것을 해라

그것을 가르친다거나 스승이 된다거나 하는 어떤 생각도 떨궈라, 그런 것을 집어들지 마라,

seeking has its place, 

without seeking, you'll not evolve, seeking is the bait of the self in a way

it only playing its own game,

it takes myriad forms, play the sense of growing and understanding, it plays, it is one,

it's very difficult to comprehend, there's one behind many

 

찾는 것 에는 그것의 자리가 있다

찾지 않고는 그대가 진화하지 않을 것이다, 찾는 것은 어느 면에서 자신 의 미끼다

그것은 그 자신의 게임을 할 뿐이다

그것은 무수한 형상을 갖는다, 성장하고 이해하는 느낌의 놀이를 한다, 

그것은 하나다,

헤아리는 것이 아주 어렵다, 많은 것 뒤에 하나가 있다

 

out of many, one essence

it is very easy to hold that as a concept

but to fulfill that understanding is, you just take sitting and be with it

sometimes feeling that there's no tangible measurement that i'm making - in a progress

but it's ok

sometimes we'll say that 'my most intense work is like this'

 

많은 것에서, 하나의 본질

 

그것을 개념으로 붙드는 것은 아주 쉽다

하지만 그 이해를 성취하는 것은, 

그대는 그냥 붙들고 앉는다, 그리고 그것과 있어라

때로는 내가 나아가고 있다 를 구체적으로 평가할 수 없는 느낌이다

하지만 괜찮다

때로는 '내가 가장 집중하는 작업은 이와 같다' 라 할 것이다

 

is something like this

it might look like you're not doing very much

but intense sense of presence focus on presence, but not in a duality,

so i can't say this to everybody

because in a normal way of introspecting or questioning or conversing, there is always one to one or one to two,

but this is one to one beyond duality

if you cancel out everything, is perceivable, even in the subtlest way, is an object of perceptions,

but there to be even object of perception, there must be a subject to be perceiving

can this subjective of perceiving be recognized? so by what?

and you may find that something, and you can see mind wants some thought, some suggestion,

but something, no no no, whatever he suggest, even in the subtlest way, is still also phenomenal,

so what to do?

and even who to do?

 

이런 것과 같다

그대가 그다지 뭘 하고 있어 보이지 않을 것이다

하지만 강렬한 현존의 느낌이 현존에 초점을 맞춘다, 이원성에서가 아니다

그래서 난 이것을 모두에게 말할 수는 없다

왜냐하면 탐구나 질문, 대화의 보통의 방식에서는, 항상 하나에서 하나로, 하나에서 둘로 이기 때문이다

하지만 이것은 이원성을 벗어난 하나에서 하나로 이다

 

그대가 모든 것을 없앤다면, 또한 인식가능하다, 가장 미묘한 방식들로도, 인식의 대상이다

하지만 인식의 대상이 되기 위해서는, 인식하는 주체가 있어야 한다

이 인식하는 주체는 알아차려질 수 있는가, 그러면 무엇에 의해?

그리고 그대는 무언가를 발견할 수도 있다, 그대는 마음이 어떤 생각, 제안을 원하는 것을 볼 수 있다,

하지만 아니다, 그가 무엇을 제시하든, 가장 미묘한 식일지라도, 여전히 현상적이다

그러면 무엇을 해야 하나

그리고 누가 하는 건가

 

but still stay with it

you may feel that you're not getting any result

but the intention to discover has its own power

and is not a power held by the mind or person

it's just power of love, power of desire, if your desire, your intention is to discover God

it may go for a while, you're hunting, God is an entity

but at a certain point, because you have a genuine urge in you, then you go beyond entitiness,

it's not journey, but something becomes more and more subtle

 

하지만 그럼에도 그것과 머물러라

그대는 그대가 어떤 결과도 얻지 못하고 있다고 느낄 수 있다

하지만 발견하려는 의도가 그 자신의 힘을 갖는다

그리고 마음이나 제한된 인식에 의해 갇힌 힘이 아니다

사랑의 힘, 열망의 힘이다, 그대의 열망, 그대의 의도가 신을 발견하는 것이라면

잠시 그대는 쫓는 것일 수 있다, 신이 어떤 존재다,

하지만 어느 단계에서, 

왜냐하면 그대가 그대 안에 진심인 열망을 갖는다, 그러면 그대는 존재성을 넘어간다,

그것은 여정이 아니다, 하지만 뭔가가 점점 더 미묘해진다

 

it's not something you can have

 

그대가 가질 수 있는 것이 아니다

 

so one thing, avoid any intention to be what is shared prematurely or you're making any premature conclusion

if you are genuine in it, just keep contemplating,

don't even try to grow, you're only clarifying the seeing,

and somehow finding that in the ultimate sense, is there someone knowing something?

you may hear this beofore,

but don't buy it, earn it, just keep looking

is there someone to say, eureka! also perceived

 

그래서, 시기보다 이르게 나누어진 것이 되려는 어떤 의도도 피해라, 그대가 어떤 성급한 결론을 내리는 것도

그대가 그것에서 진심이라면, 그냥 계속해서 숙고해라

성장하려고도 하지 마라, 단지 바라봄을 명확히 할 뿐이다

그리고 어떻든 궁극의 의미에서, 무언가를 아는 누군가가 있는 것을 발견하는가

그대는 이전에 이 말을 들었을 것이다,

하지만 말을 집어들지 마라, 얻어내라, 그냥 계속해서 바라봐라

누군가가 있어서, 유레카! 라고 말하는가,

이것 또한 인식된다
