그대가 인식하는 어떤 것이든, 그대는 그것일 수 없다

 

우리가 여기에 있는 동안, 숨이 여기에 있는 동안, 

숙고할 수 있는 힘, 그대가 그대의 탐구로 비추어 볼 수 있는 힘,

그것을 활용해서, 계속해서 확인하는 것이다, 무엇이 진짜인가

 

그것이 그대가 할 수 있는 전부다

if i start to count my finger, first start that you are aware

of course, you're aware because just to even know that you exist happens in your awareness, in your consciousness

and to show you how still that is

if i say 1, you have a sense of 1

if i start to count 1 2 3 -----, tell me which of those numbers make a change the awareness that is perceiving them

what makes an impact or effect upon consciousness that is perceiving?

none of them, no number at all

so let's take numbers out and replace them with words

you, me, this, that, yesterday, next week, mine, no, yes,

what word make any changes to the awareness that perceive it

nothing

 

내가 손가락을 세기 시작한다, 먼저 그대는 인식하기 시작해라

물론, 그대는 인식한다,

그대가 존재한다는 것을 아는 것도 그대의 각성 안에서 일어난다, 그대의 의식 안에서

그리고 그것이 얼마나 고요한지 그대에게 드러난다

 

내가 1 이라고 하면, 그대는 1 의 느낌을 갖는다

1 2 3 ------- 으로 세기 시작한다,

어느 숫자가, 그것들을 인식하는 각성에 변화를 일으키는지 말해달라

인식하고 있는 의식에 영향이나 효과를 주는 것은 무엇인가

 

그것들 중 어떤 것도 아니다, 숫자는 전혀 아니다

그러면 숫자를 빼고, 말로 대체하자

너, 나, 이것, 저것, 어제, 다음 주, 나의 것, 아니, 그래,

어느 단어가, 그것을 인식하는 각성에 어떤 변화를 일으키는가

 

아무것도 없다

 

so awareness is not depending upon or affected by any phenomenon appearing inside in it

that is the most important

that is the simple thing, simple simple exercise to show that you cannot be anything that you perceive

whether it is a number, shape,

a cup, horse, angel, the sun, which of these shapes make any impact upon the awareness that perceive them

none of them

so the awareness is the constant

 

그러니 각성은 그 안에서 나타나 보이는 어떤 현상에도 의존하지 않고, 어떤 현상에 의해서도 영향받지 않는다

그것이 가장 중요하다

그것은 간단한 것이다, 간단하고 간단한 연습이다,

그대가 인식하는 어떤 것이든, 그대는 그것일 수 없다는 것을 보여준다

숫자이든, 모양이든

 

컵, 말, 천사, 해, 이들 중 어느 모양이 그것들을 인식하는 각성에 영향을 주는가

어떤 것도 아니다

그래서 각성은 변함없다

 

loot at awareness, it's 12 in the night, the body is tired,

does that have any impact upon the awareness?

it's 12 o'clock in the day time, full life, everything is going, a lot of movements, 

does the awareness change in order to perceive?

 

각성을 바라봐라, 밤 12시 정각이다, 몸이 피곤하다,

그것이 각성에 어떤 영향을 주는가

낮 12시 정각이다, 삶으로 꽉 찼다, 모든 것이 움직인다, 무수한 움직임들,

인식하기 위해 각성이 변화를 일으키는가

 

so that is, i mean, your place

that's a simple exercise to show that which you are

and what i am showing in this simple exercise, is everything i said before, in a much more simple way

 

그것이, 그대의 자리다

그대인 것을 보여주는, 간단한 연습이다

그리고 내가 이 간단한 연습에서 보여주고 있는 것은, 내가 이전에 말한 모든 것보다, 훨씬 더 간단한 방식이다

 

so you ask, 'what kind of thing would bring me back'

i can't come back, even if i return to another body, i'm not going back

i can only go back in the sense that i continue in a state that of personal identity, 

and i continue in another body in a state of personal identity, suffering the fruit, the bitter or sweet of personal identity

that's what i mean

so about coming back, if it means to have another body,

then you'll say all of that is in the hands of God that which is your inner consciousness

if one has to be reborn, then maybe that you don't reborn with ego deposit,

meaning that you come back with some again, 'this is mind, ----'

because being somehow you can say, reincarnated, but much higher level of awareness,

or to come back as a buddha or something like that

i'm not even concerned about that

because i feel while we are here, the breath is here, the capacity to contemplate, to reflect your inquiry with you,

make use of it to keep confirming, what is true?

that's all you can do

 

그대가 묻는다, '어떤 것으로 나를 되돌리는가'

 

나는 돌아올 수 없다, 

또 다른 몸으로 돌아온다 하더라도, 나는 돌아가지 않을 것이다

나는, 내가 계속해서 제한된 인식의 동일시의 상태에 있다는 의미에서만 돌아갈 수 있을 뿐이다

그리고 계속해서 제한된 인식의 동일시의 상태에서 또 다른 몸에서,

쓰든 달든, 제한된 인식의 동일시의 결실로 고통을 겪는다

 

그것이 내가 뜻하는 것이다

 

그래서 돌아온다 가, 또 다른 몸을 갖는다는 뜻이라면

그러면 그대는, 그런 모든 것은, 그대 안의 의식인, 신의 손에 있다 라 말할 수 있을 것이다

다시 태어나야 한다면, 아마 쌓아놓은 에고를 갖고 다시 태어나지 않을 것이다

좀 다시 '이것이 마음이다, 으으으' 하는 식으로는 다시 돌아오지 않는다는 뜻이다

왜냐하면 어떻든 그대는 환생한다 라 말할 수 있다, 하지만 훨씬 더 높은 단계의 각성으로

혹은 붓다나 그런 것으로 돌아온다

 

나는 그런 것에도 관심 없다

우리가 여기에 있는 동안, 숨이 여기에 있는 동안, 

숙고할 수 있는 힘, 그대가 그대의 탐구로 비추어 볼 수 있는 힘,

그것을 활용해서, 계속해서 확인하는 것이다, 무엇이 진짜인가

 

그것이 그대가 할 수 있는 전부다

 

what will happen, something called future, nobody knows

but in this life, here now, you can see in the fruit of your seeing that

whatever you see,

all of these are just sensations, a movement in the unmoving consciousness that we are

and that needs to be known

because as soon as from the unmoving consciousness, something manifests, become a moving consicousness, as soon as makes a person, 

that personal mode of consciousness become addicted to experiencing,

and attached to process of growth and change

and there are also some natural process in the manifest consciousness

but i perceive that the highest  is to remain that,

yes, there is change, play of time, comings and goings,

but to confirm that, all of them, nothing is here for me to hold on to,

everything is changing

 

무엇이 일어날지, 미래라 불리는 뭔가는, 아무도 모른다

하지만 이 삶에서, 여기에서 지금, 그대는 그대의 바라봄의 결실에서 바라볼 수 있다

그대가 보는 것이 무엇이든

이런 모든 것들은 그냥, 우리인 움직이지 않는 의식 안에서의  감각, 움직임이다

그리고 그것이 알려질 필요가 있다

왜냐하면 움직이지 않는 의식에서, 뭔가가 드러나 보인다, 움직이는 의식이 된다,

제한된 인식을 만들자마자,

그 제한된 형태의 의식은 경험에 중독된다

그리고 성장과 변화의 과정에 집착한다

 

드러나 보이는 의식에서의 자연스러운 과정이 또 좀 있다

하지만 나는 가장 높은 것은 남아있는 것이라 인식한다

그렇다, 변화, 시간의 놀이, 오고 가는 것들이 있다,

하지만 그것들 모두, 여기에서 내가 붙들 것은 아무것도 없다는 것을 확인한다

모든 것이 변하고 있다

 

and if i'm already in the place to witness that things are changing,

is already my advantage, i see that the place i am is not place of changes

even that my body, things are changing in the way that my digestive process work, the way that my feelings are functioning,

all of these are movements that never quite repeat themselves

everything is fresh, ever changing

and there must be something to witness their movements and their changefulness

and if find, if that is known, it cannot be known apart from i, the one who perceive

and you just stay with this

 

그리고 내가 이미, 변하는 것들을 바라보는 자리에 있다면

이미 나의 이점이다,

나는, 내가 있는 자리는 변화의 자리가 아니라는 것을 본다

나의 몸조차, 나의 소화 과정에서, 나의 느낌이 작용하는 방식에서 변하고 있다

이런 모든 것들은, 다시 반복하지는 않는 움직임들이다

모든 것이 신선하다, 항상 변하고 있다

 

그리고 그들의 움직임과 변하는 것을 바라보는 무언가가 있다

내가 발견한다면, 그것이 알려진다면, 그것은 나, 인식하는 자와 떨어져 알려질 수 없는 것이다

그리고 그대는 그냥 그것과 머물러라
