그런 태도를 갖지 마라, '난 나 혼자 할 수 있어'

스승만이 그대를 도울 수 있다, 사실

그대의 가짜 정체를 제거할 수 있다

그러니 스승이 누가 되었든

 

사실 실재에서, 스승은 하나이다

스승은 한 사람이 아니다, 형상이 아니다

하지만 그대는 그 형상 또한 사랑해야 한다

그대가 형상으로 찬 연결감을 벗어날 수 있을 때까지

 

내가 항상, 점점 더 강조하는 한 가지는

존경과 헌신, 존중의 가슴 없이, 그대는 멀리 가지 못할 것이다

진리는 거만한 마음에서는 그 자신을 드러내지 않을 것이기 때문이다

그리고 이 진리는 수천 년 동안 알려져 있다

 

그러니 겸손하고 친절해라

guru is a very holy term actually

not that guru is going to give you enlightment although it can feel like that, that it happen like that

but more than they help to remove the impediments to your seeing, they remove the darkness,

that's what it actually mean

they remove the ignorance, the false ideas of self

it doesn't give you a new idea of self, just removing the false idea of self, one wakes up to the truth of who they really are

 

구루 (스승) 은 사실, 아주 성스러운 표현이다

스승이 그대에게 깨달음을 줄 것이 아니다

그렇게 느껴질 수 있다, 그렇게 일어날 수 있다

보다는 그들은 그대가 바라보는데 장애가 되는 것들을 제거한다, 어둠을 제거한다

사실 그 의미다

그들은 무지를 제거한다, 자신에 대한 그릇된 생각들

 

자신에 대한 새로운 생각을 주는 것이 아니다

단지 자신에 대한 가짜 생각을 제거하면, 그들이 정말 누구인지의 진리에 깨어난다

왜냐하면 그건 마음과 결합되어 있는 것이다

마음은, 그대가 그처럼 느낄 때, 그런 말할 때 너무 좋아한다

 

변형시킨 자는 마음의 모든 전략을 알고 있다

그들은 그대를 돕는다

진짜인 자는 그대에게서 어떤 것도 바라지 않는다

그대의 헌신조차 정말은 그대에게 좋다, 그들에게가 아니라

왜냐하면 우리가 이런 태도를 갖는다면, 그것은 마음에서 나오는 것이다

환영에서 나오는 것이다, 속이는 마음에서 나오는 것이다, 그리고 그건 좋지 않다

 

그러니 그대가 좀 용어에 의심이 간다면, 그것에 대해서는 잊어라

하지만 그대에게 도움이 필요하다는 그대의 가슴을 내던지지는 마라

우선, 그대에게는 도움이 필요하다는 것을 이해해라

그대가 도움에의 필요성을 이해할 때, 겸손함이 그대 안에 있게 된다

그리고 겸손함이 깨어남에의 가능성의 문을 연다

 

헌신 또한 자만을 제거하는 것을 돕는다, 자만이 제거된다

그리고 사랑과 지혜가 그대의 길에서 막고 있는 모든 것을 씻어낸다

그대가 그것에서 벗어날 때에만, 그 제한의 정도를 이해하기 시작한다
