자유란, 그대인 것을 아는 것, 그대인 것이 되는 것이다

so i want you to take this attitude today that if what babaji is speaking is already here, then i must be able to find it

 

나는 그대가 오늘 이런 태도를 갖기를 바란다,

스승님이 말하는 것이 이미 여기에 있다면, 그러면 나는 그것을 발견할 수 있어야겠다

 

i don't want to give complicated things because i myself was not able to follow them

so i have to find something, just like if i'm eating food and you're hungry, i say, 'you want to eat?', you can eat

i will not give you menu

if you're hungry, i'll give you the food

 

나는 복잡한 것들을 주고 싶지 않다, 나 자신이 따라갈 수 없기 때문이다

그래서 나는 무언가 찾아내야 한다,

 

내가 음식을 먹는다, 그대가 배고프다,

'먹고 싶은가'라고 내가 말한다, 그대는 먹을 수 있다

나는 그대에게 메뉴를 주지 않을 것이다

그대가 배고프다면, 나는 그대에게 음식을 줄 것이다

 

in this way, it has to be made avaliable to you that which is the most satisfying,

not for the mind, mind is not going to be satisfied for long

what is it that can satisfy you forever?

is there such a thing in this world?

 

이런 식으로, 가장 만족을 주는 것이 그대에게 가능해야 한다

마음을 위한 것이 아니다, 마음은 오래 만족하지 않을 것이다

그대를 영원히 만족시킬 수 있는 그것이 무엇인가

이 세상에 그런 것이 있는가

 

and you'll not find that thing until you find what is to be here

is it possible to discover this today?

many of you have discovered already, but it feels as though mind take you away from it

but i will tell you something, your mind cannot take you away from yourself, ever it is, never done it

it can only take you into the place of personal identity

if you go into the personal identity, you are already distracted

 

그대가 여기에 있는 것을 발견할 때까지, 그것을 찾지 못할 것이다

이것을 오늘 발견하는 것이 가능한가

그대들 중에는 많은 이들이 이미 발견했다, 하지만 마음이 그것에서 그대를 앗아가버리는 것 같다

나는 그대에게 말해줄 것이 있다,

 

그대의 마음은 그대를 그대 자신에게서 빼앗을 수 없다, 영원히 그렇지 않다, 그런 적도 없다

단지 그대를 제한된 인식의 동일시 자리로 데려갈 수 있을 뿐이다

그대가 제한된 동일시로 들어서면, 그대는 이미 벗어났다

 

and tell me one day, when this is not true anymore for you

as long as you are living in the belief in personal identity, we say, you are asleep to your true nature

is it possible to discover that which is in you, which is eternal?

this body will go

even the fact that your body is always changing

 

이것이 그대에게 더는 사실이 아닌 날을 내게 말해달라

그대가 제한된 동일시에의 믿음으로 사는 한, 그대는 그대의 진짜 본성에 잠들어 있다

그대 안에 있는 것, 영원한 것을 발견하는 것이 가능한가

이 몸은 갈 것이다

그대의 몸조차 항상 변하고 있다

 

but there is something in you which does not age

that which is eternal, and which is imperishable,

meaning it will never die

this (body) will go, and your thoughts, your life, things that you value, they will go

while you're in the state of personhood, they will go

while your body is still warm, find that which will never go

and you will find your complete joy, peace and freedom

a lot of people don't know what is freedom

we maybe know about egoic freedom, 'i'm free to go where i want-'

 

하지만 그대 안에 나이 들지 않는 것이 있다

그것은 영원하다, 소멸하지 않는다

결코 죽지 않을 것이라는 뜻이다

이 몸은 갈 것이다, 그대의 생각, 그대의 삶, 그대가 가치있게 여기는 것들, 그것들은 갈 것이다

그대가 제한된 성격의 상태에 있는다면, 그것들은 갈 것이다

그대의 몸이 여전히 따뜻한 동안, 결코 가지 않을 그것을 찾아라

그대의 완벽한 기쁨, 평화 그리고 자유를 발견할 것이다

많은 사람들이 자유가 무엇인지 알지 못한다

우리는 에고의 자유에 대해서는 알 수 있다, '나는 내가 원하는 곳에 갈 자유가 있다' 식의

 

but freedom means to know and be what you are

 

하지만 자유란, 그대인 것을 아는 것, 그대인 것이 되는 것이다
