그대가 제한된 인식으로 책임을 지는 것보다, 바라보는 자리에 더 머물러라

sri nisargadatta maharaj statement that he said, 'i'll leave my human nature to unfold in accordance with destiny, i remain as i am'

and i have mentioned this to the sangha field before,

but i was feeling that it was very important to look into that more,

what does it mean actually?

 

sri nisargadatta maharaj 는 말했다,

'나는 나의 인간 본성이 운명에 따라 펼쳐지도록 내버려 둘 것이다, 

나는 나인 대로 남아있다'

 

나는 이것을 이전에 공동체 장에 말한 적 있다

하지만 그것을 더 들여다보는 것이 아주 중요한 것으로 느껴진다

 

그것은 정말로 무슨 뜻인가

 

we have our own internal investment of how we want things to be

or sometimes protecting something which is sucking your energy on another level,

we're not willing to face that or sometimes we're not aware of it

 

어떤 것들이 어떻기를 바라는 것에 대해 우리 안에 투자가 있다,

혹은 어느 단계에서 그대의 에너지를 빨아먹는 무언가를 보호하고 있다,

우리는 그것을 마주하려 하지 않거나, 그것을 인식하고 있지 못하기도 한다

 

which means, 'i'll leave my human nature to unfold in accordance with its destiny',

it doesn't, like 'i don't care about it', do care about it

but there's life that is unfolding naturally if you allow,

or you can come to place where you cannot be so hands on with it, but to be more observant of it

there is harmony underlying all the natural unfolding

and so our actions, reactions, interactions, movement in daily life is wind assisted when you don't involve too much your idea of how things should be,

not too much try to control what you feel, how you want the way things to go

 

'나는 나의 인간 본성이 그것의 운명에 따라 펼쳐지도록 내버려둘 것이다',

 

'나는 상관하지 않겠다' 가 아니다, 신경쓴다

하지만 그대가 허용한다면 자연스럽게 펼쳐지는 삶이 있다

혹은 그대가 너무 그것에 손대버리지 않을 수 있는, 하지만 그것을 보다 바라볼 수 있는 자리에 이를 수 있다

모든 자연스러움 펼쳐짐에는 조화가 있다

 

그래서 우리의 움직임, 반응, 상호작용, 매일의 삶에서의 움직임이 

어떻게 되어야 한다는 그대의 생각을 지나치게 개입시키지 않을 때

바람이 뒤에서 밀어주는 것 같다

 

그대가 느끼는 것, 어떻게 되기를 원한다고 하는 것으로, 너무 많이 통제하려 하지 않는다

 

and largely i think that in our human cultures and societies, we're very much conditioned,

almost sometimes expected to determine how you want to go

 

나는, 대개 우리 인간 문화와 사회들에서는, 우리가 너무나 조건화되어 있다고 생각한다

거의 그대가 원하는 식으로 가기로 결정할 것으로 예상된다

 

my own statement is like this,

rather than taking the steering the wheel and driving, you take a personal responsibility,

to stay more in the place of witness

 

나 자신의 말은 이렇다,

운전대를 잡고 운전을 하기 보다, 그대가 제한된 인식으로 책임을 지는 것보다,

바라보는 자리에 더 머물러라

 

he says, 'i'll leave my human nature',

didn't say, 'i'll leave my ego'

 

그는 말한다, '나는 나의 인간 본성이',

 

'나는 나의 에고를 내버려둘 것이다' 라 하지 않았다

 

'i remain as i am',

that is witness, whatever happening is witnessed,

it stays quietly in sort of neutral observing attitude, 

so functioning of life is expressed through form, happens,

and we come to see more and more that there is an energy that is unfolding like that

rather than being done by person

it is observed in one's being

when you take the position of just more neutral observer, 

and something, rather than watching what to do, there's a quiet allowing of life to unfold

 

'나는 나인 대로 남아있다'

그것이 바라보는 자다, 무엇이 일어나든 바라보아진다

그것은 고요히 중립적으로 바라보는 태도와 같은 것으로 머문다

 

그래서 삶의 작용이 형상을 통해 표현된다, 일어난다,

그리고 우리는 점점 더 그렇게 펼쳐지는 에너지가 있다는 것을 보게 된다

제한된 인식에 의해 되는 것보다

 

그것이 존재에서 바라보아진다

그대가 보다 중립적으로 바라보는 자의 위치를 택할 때

무엇을 할 지 바라보기 보다,

삶이 펼쳐지도록 하는 고요한 허용함이 있다

 

'i remain as i am'

'나는 나인 대로 남아있다'

 

i am, indicates the quality of being or the sense of what is,

so all that is seen, i remain as i am

when from the beingness is not personal identification with flowing,

we may think, 'no, needs to be personally involved'

i say, well, let's have a look and see

stay as witness without trying to push life about and see what happens

but there's an impatience in us and mistrust also that it will work without you

 

나 는, 존재의 특질 혹은 있는 것의 느낌을 가리킨다

그래서 그 모든 것이 바라보아지고, 나는 나 인대로 남아있다

존재에서 흐름과 제한된 인식으로 동일시되지 않을 때

 

우리는,

'아니다, 제한된 인식으로 참여해야 한다' 라 생각할 수 있다

 

나는 말한다,

그런가 한 번 바라보자

삶을 밀어붙이려 하지 않고 바라보는 자로서, 무엇이 일어나는지 봐라

 

하지만 우리 안에 성급함이 있다, 불신 또한,

그대 없이 움직여버릴 것이라는

 

observe these things

and what happens when we don't jump in or follow the mind streams,

because mind comes in with personal projections 'do this, do that'

and we should not be slaves to those that kind of movement

in staying as the quiet and uninvolved, impartial or impersonal or detached witness of this,

what happens is that the whole scene opens up more,

and what happens here is that the quality of beingness is reflected back to itself 

as quiet stillness and peace and trust in life as oneness,

at both the place of the witness and witnessed what is unfolding

 

이런 것들을 바라봐라

그리고 우리가 뛰어들지 않을 때, 혹은 마음의 흐름을 따르지 않을 때, 무엇이 일어나는가

왜냐하면 마음은 제한된 인식의 투사들을 갖고 들어선다, '이것을 해라, 저것을 해라'

그리고 우리는 그런 움직임들의 노예가 되어서는 안 된다

 

고요하고, 개입되지 않고, 치우치지 않고, 혹은 제한 없고 집착되어 있지 않은 바라보는 자로서 머무르면

일어나는 것은, 전체 장면이 더욱 열린다

그리고 여기에서 일어나는 것은, 존재의 특질이 그 자신을 되비추어 보인다

고요한 가만 있음과 평화, 삶에의 신뢰가 하나로서

바라보는 자리에서, 그리고 펼쳐지는 것이 바라보아진다
