이 세상을 통해, 감각들을 거쳐 스스로를 찾아가야 하게 되었다

(우리는 세상을)

우리 자신의 제한된 조건의 필터를 통해 바라보게 된다

그대는 왜 이것은 좋아하고, 저것은 좋아하지 않는가

 

우리가 하나의 존재로 있는 하나의 세상을 가질 수 있을까, 가장 높은 질서 안에서, 어떤 질서 안에서든,

서로 경쟁적으로 살기보다는

 

어떤 특정한 대규모의 문화적 조건화를 공유할 수 있을지는 모른다

하지만 각자의 특정한 조건화에서는, 아무도 그대 같지 않다

그대조차 그대 같지 않다, 그대 또한 계속해서 변하고 있다

우리가 얘기할 것이 무엇이 있겠는가

 

진실로 유일한 진보는, 우리가 순수 의식으로서 본래 갖고 있는 본성을 발견할 때이다

 

우리가 인식하는 방식, 우리가 인식하는 언어, 우리가 바라보는 것들,

이 모든 것이 구름들이 지나는 것과 같다

[the i removes the i, yet remains the i]

 

나는 나를 제거한다, 그럼에도 나는 있다

 

the i removes the i,

why did we have to get the i in the first place?

why did the i am be pushed to the i-me person in the first place?

we cannot say that somehow the consciousness which is pure,

had come into a world of diverse impressions,

it has to navigate itself through this world of, through the senses,

the senses are going to introduce it to phenomenality, to things,

is gonna have come to appreciate it, something is beautiful, something is ugly,

 

나 는 나 를 제거한다

 

애초에 우리는 왜 나 를 제거해야 하는가

애초에 왜 '(순수한) 내가 있다' 가 제한된 인식의 나 로 밀려났는가

 

우리가 말할 수 없다, 어떻든 순수한 의식이,

다양한 인상들의 세상으로 들어서야 했다

 

그것이 이 세상을 통해, 감각들을 통해 스스로를 찾아가야 하게 되었다

 

감각들은 그것을 현상계에, ~것들에 소개할 것이다

어떤 것은 아름답다, 어떤 것은 흉하다 고 평가하게 될 것이다

 

so the 5 senses and the mind also which again brings in time and change, and attraction, repulsion, 

all of these things,

is going to be pushed into the field,

because when you came into a life, you go and sign up, 'can i have some smelling sense?-

no, it all came in package deal with this body,

that the ability to you to have the senses and the mind, 

and that becmae our craft, this body, how you can say, this craft in this ocean,

they call samsara, meaning the ocean of life,

samsara actually means suffering, but most people don't agree with that yet

 

다섯 가지 감각과 마음 또한

다시 시간과 변화, 끌림과 밀어냄, 이런 온갖 것들을 불러 일으킨다,

그런 장으로 몰아붙여질 것이다

 

왜냐하면 그대가 삶에 들어섰을 때,

'내가 냄새맡는 감각을 가져도 될까요' 라 묻고, 계약하는 그런 식이 아니었다

모든 것이 이 몸과 패키지로 함께 들어선 거래였다

 

그대가 감각과 마음을 지니고 있을 수 있다

 

그리고 이것이 우리의 탈 것이 되었다, 이 몸

 

그대는 어떻게 말하겠는가, 이 바다에서의 이 탈 것을

 

삼사라 라 불리는 것,

삶의 바다 라는 뜻이다

 

삼사라는 사실 고통을 뜻한다, 하지만 대부분의 사람들은 아직 그것에 동의하지 않는다

 

so only at later stage, we may call suffering,

before we call it,- (swimming-, beach-

 

나중에 이르러서야, 고통이라 할 것이다

그렇게 부르기 전에는- 그냥 대충 좋다

 

so like this,

so it's very important what i'm saying for you to understand what's happening

 

이런 식이다

 

그래서 내가 말하는 것은, 무슨 일이 일어나고 있는지를 그대가 이해하는 것은 아주 중요하다

 

so this feeling i am, when it projected into the limited identity

or localized self into the state of personhood,

it didn't lose anything of itself

 

이 내가 있다 는 느낌은

제한된 동일시 혹은 제한된 인식 상태로의 축소된 자신 으로 투사될 때,

 

그 자신의 어떤 것도 잃지 않는다

 

the i am-ness itself does not lose,

something of itself to go into the person, it remains always pure,

it has the ability to do that

 

내가 있다, 는 것 자체는 잃는 것이 없다

 

그 자신의 무언가가 제한된 인식으로 가더라도, 그것은 언제나 순수하게 남아있다

그럴 수 있는 역량이 있다

 

identified now with body and with a sense of personhood,

and live a life as a person, wants this and like these people, don't like these people,

and developed in so many ways,

each one of us and us mean the whole world, have our very unique way of perceiving

 

이제, 몸과 제한된 인식의 느낌에 동일시되어

제한된 인식으로 살고,

이것을 원하고, 이 사람들을 좋아하고, 이 사람들을 좋아하지 않고,

무수히 많은 방식으로 발달한다

우리 각자가,

우리 란 온 세상으로, 인식하는데서 각자 아주 독특한 방식을 갖는다

 

just like you go to bed in the night,

and you have a dream and even if you're sleeping net to your beloved one,

you cannot get them to tune in and experience your dream-

each person's dream is very unique experience

 

그대가 밤에 잠에 들 때와 마찬가지다

 

그대는 꿈을 꾼다,

그대가 사랑하는 사람 옆에 자더라도, 그들을 그대의 꿈에 조율시켜 그대의 꿈을 경험하게 할 수 없다

각자의 꿈이 아주 독특한 경험이다

 

i want to say, then it's the same in the waking state,

each one's experience of the waking state is entirely unique experiencing,

now you can say, 'yeah, same trees there- we can see',

but these are common things we're looking at,

but each one is perceiving its unique way,

that's why say, there's one earth, but there are billions of worlds,

a world meaning a psychological relationship with earth

 

나는 깨어나 있는 상태에서도 그와 같다 고 말하고 싶다

깨어나 있는 상태에 대한 각자의 경험은 완전히 독특한 경험이다

 

이제 그대가, '똑같은 나무들을 우리가 바라볼 수도 있는데', 라 말할 수도 있다

하지만 그것들은 우리가 바라보는 공통의 것들이다

 

그러나 각자는 그 자신의 독특한 방식으로 인식한다

 

이래서 말하는 것이다, 하나의 지구가 있지만, 수십 억의 세상이 있다

 

세상 이란 지구와의 심리적 관계를 말한다

 

we are not just looking at the world in its elemental formation,

it is to do, we're seeing now through the filter of our own personal conditioning,

why you may like this thing, you don't like that thing,

so each one, the world is unique personal experience

 

우리는 세상을 단지 그 원소들의 형성으로 바라보는 것이 아니다

 

우리 자신의 제한된 조건의 필터를 통해 바라보게 된다

그대는 왜 이것은 좋아하고, 저것은 좋아하지 않는가

 

그러니 각자가,

 

세상은 독특한 제한된 인식의 경험이다

 

now can this unique personal way of seeing the world in each one, a unique picture,

and even in one body,the picture is changing all the time,

depending on moods, depending on the ages, depending on so many things,

 

이제 이 세상을 각자의 안에서, 독특한 그림으로 바라보는 제한된 인식의 방식이

 

그리고 한 몸 안에서조차, 그림이 항상 바뀐다

분위기에 따라, 시대에 따라, 무수한 것들에 따라

 

can we have one world where we are one being, in the highest order, in any order

than we're living together competitively?

 

우리가 하나의 존재로 있는 하나의 세상을 가질 수 있을까, 가장 높은 질서 안에서, 어떤 질서 안에서든,

서로 경쟁적으로 살기보다는

 

not really, everybody has another, one person is a hero, somebody else is a terrorist,

how we 're gonna all agree, we'll not be like that,

we may share certain large cultural conditioning,

but in our specific conditiioning, nobody is like you,

not even you are like you, you keep changing also-

what have we to spak about,

 

그렇기는...........

 

어떤 사람은 영웅이고, 다른 누군가는 테러리스트이다

우리가 어떻게 모두 의견 일치를 볼 것인가,

우리는 그런 식이지 않을 것이다

 

어떤 특정한 대규모의 문화적 조건화를 공유할 수 있을지는 모른다

하지만 각자의 특정한 조건화에서는, 아무도 그대 같지 않다

그대조차 그대 같지 않다, 그대 또한 계속해서 변하고 있다

우리가 얘기할 것이 무엇이 있겠는가

 

the only advancement truly is when we discover our innate nature as pure consciousness

 

진실로 유일한 진보는, 우리가 순수 의식으로서 본래 갖고 있는 본성을 발견할 때

 

the way that we perceive, the language that we perceive through, things that we see,

all of this is like clouds passing

 

우리가 인식하는 방식, 우리가 인식하는 언어, 우리가 바라보는 것들,

이 모든 것이 구름들이 지나는 것과 같다

 

each one is very very different-

whatever you're perceiving in that moment, when it's in front of you,

you feel a connectedness,

especially whatever you have emotional connection with it,

that may register for you strongly,

but then by the force of nature, all of that swims away, you cannot keep it,

even if your favorite concept, you cannot keep unbroken connection with them,

by nature, everything is-

 

각자가 아주 아주 다르다

 

그것이 그대 앞에 있을 때, 그 순간에 인식하는 것이 무엇이든, 그대는 연결감을 느낀다

특히 그것과 감정적 연결을 갖는 것은, 그대에게 강하게 기록될 것이다

 

하지만 그 다음 자연의 힘 따라, 그 모든 것이 사라진다, 그대가 그것을 갖고 있을 수 없다

그대가 좋아하는 생각이라 하더라도, 그것과 끊어지지 않게 계속해서 연결할 수 없다

자연스레, 모든 것이

 

and somethign also witnesses the going of them,

whatever that may be, you cannot be that,

because if you were that, then when it went, you'd also be gone,

but something is here to witness

 

그리고 무언가 그들이 가는 것을 바라보는 것 또한 있다

그것들이 무엇이든, 그대는 그것이 될 수 없다

그대가 그것이었다면, 그것들이 갔을 때, 그대 또한 갔을 것이다

하지만 무언가 여기에서 바라본다

 

everything becomes was,

all the is becomes was, in the phenomenal world, isn't it?

so actually who is keeping the memory of the life of the world?

what is the memory of this life of the world?

it'sll only be some selectiveness of the strongest impression

 

모든 것이 '였다' 가 된다

현상계에서는 모든 '이다' 가 '였다' 가 된다, 그렇지 않은가

 

그러니 사실 누가 세상의 삶에 대한 기억을 갖고 있는가

이 세상의 삶의 기억은 무엇인가

가장 강한 인상을 몇 개 선택한 것일 뿐일 것이다
