그대가 오랫동안 '인식하는 자' 로 추정하는 자를 포함해서

수년 동안, 아마 여러 삶 동안, 우리는 이것을 놓쳤을 것이다

이 자, 인식하는 자, 인식하는 자로 작용하는 자, 자체가 인식가능하다

그래서 수행하고, 주고, 받고 하는 바로 그 자, 그 자체가 현상으로 알아차려진다면

 

흔치않은 탐지다

 

무엇이 남는가

i feel that your inquiry can take you up to this point

most of our practice or effort may take you up to this point

beyond this, the practice cannot go

it's not that it's a journey further in terms of distance

but in subtlety

 

그대의 탐구가 이 지점까지 그대를 데려올 수 있었다 고 느껴진다

대부분의 우리 수행이나 노력이 그대를 이 지점까지 데려올 수 있을 것이다

이것을 넘어서는

수행이 갈 수 없다

거리의 측면에서 더 나아가는 여행이라는 것이 아니다

미묘함 에서이다

 

to be honest, what i've found is that for many people who have got intellectual background,

they gravitate towards this question

but they're murdered by the question, they can't cope with it

because their mind goes bananas, they can't control

'who am i?' is like-

but nothing is achieved in that sense

actually those who have got simple mind will profoundly understand this more

because they can hear it fresh

they are not air-hearing it through any kind of formal education or intellectual sort of like temperament

generally speaking, not in every case of course

 

사실, 내가 발견한 것은, 지적인 배경을 가진 많은 사람들의 경우

이 질문에 끌린다 ('인식하는 자는 인식될 수 있는가', '내가 누구인가')

하지만 그들은 그 질문에 짓눌린다, 대처할 수 없다

그들의 마음이 바나나로 가기 때문이다, 통제할 수가 없다

'내가 누구인가' -

하지만 그런 의미에서는 아무것도 얻지 못한다

 

사실 단순한 마음을 가진 이들이 깊게, 이것을 더 이해할 것이다

그들은 신선하게 들을 수 있기 때문이다

그들은 어떤 공식적인 교육이나 지적인 것과 같은 분위기를 통해 듣는데 듣지 않는 것으로 듣지 않을 것이다

일반적으로 그렇다는 것이다, 물론 모든 경우는 아니다

i remember one conversatiion that took place where a man,

this is relating back into the days of Ramana maharshi was physically present-

and one person ask him, 'i've surrendered everything for the truth, i've surrendered everything to find the truth, still i've not found it'

so Sri Bhagwan responds to him, 'also surrender the surrenderer'

 

한 대화가 기억난다

이것은 라마나 마하리쉬 의 육체가 있을 때로 거슬러간다

한 사람이 그에게 묻는다,

'나는 진리를 위해 모든 것을 내놓았다, 모든 것을 진리를 발견하기 위해 내놓았다, 하지만 나는 그것을 발견하지 못했다'

 

그러자 Sri Bhagwan 이 응답한다, '내놓는자 또한 내놓아라'

 

it's more an attitude, more than a technique

even the one who's surrendering, surrender this one also

some people say, 'who is surrenderer?, no, please keep quiet

my words mean something, there's a certain feeling about it,

catch the surrenderer also, see the surrenderer

he is surrendering everything but himself he keeps

whereas himself is the main cause of all the trouble

 

태도 이다, 기교이기 보다

 

내놓는 자조차, 이 자 또한 내놓아라

 

'내놓는 자는 누구인가' 라 말하는 사람들이 있다

아니다, 부디 조용히 해라

나의 말에 중요한 것이 있다, 어떤 느낌이 있다

내놓는 자 또한 잡아라, 내놓는 자를 바라봐라

그는 모든 것을 내놓는다, 하지만 그 자신은 간직한다

그 자신이 모든 문제의 주요 원인이면서

 

so surrender the surrenderer simply mean,

that even the sense of the identity as a surrenderer must also be rejected for a moment, in this inquiry

if you don't put in the positon of even the surrenderer,

so surrenderer also goes upon the screen as a perceivable phenomenon

what watching it?

and i don't want mental answer to this

 

그래서 내놓는 자를 내놓아라 는 단순하게

내놓는 자로 동일시하는 느낌조차, 잠시, 이 탐구에서, 거절되어야 한다는 뜻이다

 

그대가 내놓는 자의 위치에조차 있지 않다면

내놓는 자 또한 인식가능한 현상으로, 화면에 올려진다

무엇이 그것을 바라보는가

그리고 나는 이것에 대해 정신적인 답을 원하지 않는다

 

if everything can be perceived including the one you assume for so long as the perceiver,

and please hear this, all of you, everybody

if everyting is offered up,-

now i want to receive something and you're told, 'but everything you have surrendered is now upon the screen of consciousness in front of you, it is been offered and given'

and he says, what about you?

 

모든 것이,

그대가 오랫동안 '인식하는 자'로서 추정하는 자를 포함해서,

인식될 수 있다면

 

부디 이것을 들어라, 그대들 모두

 

모든 것이 내놓아진다면-

이제 '나는 무언가 받고 싶다',

그리고 그대는

'하지만 그대가 내놓은 모든 것이 지금 의식의 화면에 있다, 그대 앞에,

내놓아졌다' 라고  듣는다면

 

그리고 그가 말한다, '그대는 어떤가'

 

so this one also is perceivable

can i say and can you hear?

nobody has caught this one

this one is also phenomenal, yes or no?

if it can be perceivable, it can also go upon the screen, the visible screen of consciousness

do you understand this one?

 

이 자 또한 인식가능하다

내가 (이렇게) 말할 수 있을까, 그리고 그대는 들을 수 있는가

 

아무도 이 자를 잡지 못했다

이 자 또한 현상이다, 그런가 아닌가

인식될 수 있는 것이라면, 그것 또한 화면으로 갈 수 있다, 의식의 보이는 화면에

 

그대는 이것을 이해하는가

 

because i tell you for years and years, maybe lifetimes, we have missed this one

that this one, the perceiver, the one who acting as a perceiver, is itself perceivable

so if the very one who is practicing and giving and receiving, is itself recognized as phenomenal

rare detection

what remain?

 

왜냐하면, 수년 동안, 아마 여러 삶 동안, 우리는 이것을 놓쳤을 것이다

이 자, 인식하는 자, 인식하는 자로 작용하는 자, 자체가 인식가능하다

그래서 수행하고, 주고, 받고 하는 바로 그 자, 그 자체가 현상으로 알아차려진다면

 

흔치않은 탐지다

 

무엇이 남는가

 

what has caused the perceiving and exposing that this one also, 

the one who is giving and receiving, coming and going, living and dying, 

that this one is also perceivable

and who can deny? from any spritual practice, from any religious perspective, any intelligent person,

who can deny that what i've said is true?

 

인식을 일으키고, 또한 이것을 폭로하는 것은 무엇인가

주고 받고, 오고 가고, 살고 죽고 하는 자

이 자 또한 인식가능하다

그리고 누가 부인할 수 있겠는가

어느 영적인 수행에서, 어느 종교적인 관점에서, 어느 지적인 사람에게서,

누가, 내가 말하는 것이 진짜인 것을 부정할 수 있을까

 

it is only not been effectively true because it is been largely overlooked, nobody has exposed it

well, i cannot say, nobody has

sages throughout the time, throughout human history, by the grace of God has come and pointed out to this

in whose heart and mind, these pointings resonate

because if your mind is simply full of belief and structures and concepts, maybe this is not the concept that you'll accept

even those one who accepts or rejects, is also phenomenal

he will preserve himself

and says, 'this teaching doesn't apply to me, i don't agree with this'

the one who agrees or disagrees again escapes the detection to live on,

maybe into other lifettimes from now, who knows?

 

진짜가 아니라 하게 되는 것은 단지, 대개는 그것이 바라보아지지 않았기 때문이다, 아무도 그것을 폭로하지 않았다

아무도 라 말할 수는 없겠다

시간 내내, 인간의 역사 내내, 현자들이, 신의 은혜로움에 의해 와서, 이것을 가리켰다

그들의 가슴과 마음에서, 이 가리킴들이 울리는 이들 안에

 

그대의 마음이 단지 믿음과 구조, 개념들로 가득 차 있다면,

아마 이것은 그대가 받아들이지 않을 개념이다

받아들이거나 거부하는 이들조차, 또한 현상이다

그는 그 자신을 보존할 것이다

그리고, '이 가르침은 내게는 작용되지 않는다, 나는 이것에 동의하지 않는다' 라 말한다

 

다시 동의하거나 동의하지 않는 자는 탐지를 피해 살아간다

아마 지금으로부터 다른 삶들로

누가 알겠는가
