그대가 의식으로서 듣는다면, 가장 아름다운 것이다

바라보는 자가 바라보아지는 것에 관심이 있다면, 그 또한 지나간다

바라보는 것 자체가 바라보아지는 자리가 있다

그것이 어디 있는지 보기 위해 어떤 방향으로도 돌리지 마라

바라보기 위해 돌리는 그것 또한 바라보아진다

마음은 그것을 해결할 수 없다

마음 자체가 그것 안에서 사라진다, 그리고 그것 앞에서 지나간다

whatever is to come, will also go

of what value then?

except that something is grasped from their presence, something is reflected

that about something, reflected something which is permanent, what is permanent?

and is the permanent boring, dead, dull?

and who will be there to evaluate their permance

if that evaluator is not also permanent

 

오는 것이 무엇이든, 또한 갈 것이다

그러면 무슨 가치인가

무언가 그것들의 존재에서 잡힌다, 무언가 비추어 보인다

무언가에 관해, 비추어진 것, 변하지 않는 것이다

무엇이 변하지 않는가

 

그리고 변하지 않는 것이 지루한가, 죽었는가, 둔한가

그리고 누가 있어, 변하지 않는다고 평가할 것인가

그 평가자 또한 변하지 않지 않을 것이라면

 

if we could put our lives on time lapse, watching everything, passing

you may notice that you're watching from a still place

all the things-

what you're noticing is what you're watching from your heart, you're watching from a stillness

is the still place, is it dead? is it imagined? imagination is also passing

what is not passing?

i don't want the answer in words even

it's quicker, purer than words, words are also passing

and watched to be passing

who is the watcher?

is the watcher passing? 

 

우리가 우리의 삶들을, 시간대로 보여주는 장치 에 놓는다면

 

모든 것을 바라본다, 지나간다,

그대는 그대가 고요한 곳에서 바라보고 있는 것을 알아차릴 수 있다

그 모든 것들을-

 

그대가 알아차리는 것은, 그대가 그대의 중심에서 바라보고 있다, 고요함에서 바라보고 있는 것이다

고요한 자리, 그것은 죽은 것인가

상상된 것인가, 상상 또한 지나간다

지나가지 않는 것은 무엇인가

나는 답을 말로 원하는 것도 아니다

말보다 더 빠르고, 순수한 것이다, 말 또한 지나간다

그리고 지나가는 것으로 바라보아진다

 

바라보는 자가 누구인가

바라보는 자가 지나가는가

 

if the watcher is interested in what's been watched-, he also passes

there's a place where watching itself is watched

don't turn in any direction to see where it is

because the very turning to look is also seen

the mind cannot solve it

mind itself dissolves in it, and passes in front of it

 

바라보는 자가 바라보아지는 것에 관심이 있다면, 그 또한 지나간다

바라보는 것 자체가 바라보아지는 자리가 있다

그것이 어디 있는지 보기 위해 어떤 방향으로도 돌리지 마라

바라보기 위해 돌리는 그것 또한 바라보아진다

마음은 그것을 해결할 수 없다

마음 자체가 그것 안에서 사라진다, 그리고 그것 앞에서 지나간다

 

this is why say, it is the simplest

even simpler than simplest, because simple implies some kind of doing or some knowing

 

이래서 말하는 것이다, 그것이 가장 단순한 것이다

 

가장 단순한 것보다 더 단순하다,

단순하다 는, 뭔가 하는 것, 혹은 뭔가 아는 것을 뜻하기 때문에

 

many of you, i know your faces, i see it changing also on the surface

but behind the surface i'm also recognizing

it's not a physical recognition somehow, it's sort of mysterious,

it's almose like i'm perceiving your emptiness, which is very delightful actually

you're fully here, but not merely as an object or merely as the body, i see also in front

 

그대들 중 많은 이들, 내가 그대들의 얼굴을 안다

그것 또한 변하고 있는 것을 본다, 표면에서

하지만 표면 뒤 또한 알아차리고 있다

그것은 어떻든 물리적인 알아차림이 아니다, 신비로운 것 같다

내가 그대의 비어있음을 인식하고 있는 것 같다,

그것은 사실 너무 기쁜 것이다

그대는 완전히 여기에 있다

하지만 단지 대상으로, 혹은 몸으로서 가 아니다

나는 정면 또한 본다

 

if you listen to what i'm sharing with you, i have to share with you, you listen, on the basis of being conscious, not just from the head but, if you listen as consciousness, is the most beautiful thing

is only talking about what is already so

not what is going to be so or what used to be so

is pointing directly to that

it will be joy to receive inside your heart again, this reflection

because i cannot give you you

i'm only reflecting

 

그대가 내가 그대와 나누고 있는 것을 듣고 있다면,

내가 나누어야 해서, 그대가 듣는다, 의식적인 근거에서,

단지 머리에서가 아니라

그대가 의식으로서 듣는다면, 가장 아름다운 것이다

이미 그러한 것에 대해 말하고 있을 뿐이다

일어날 것, 혹은 그랬던 것이 아니다

바로 그것을 가리키고 있다

그대의 가슴 안에서 다시 받아들이는 것은 기쁨일 것이다

이 비추어 바라봄

 

왜냐하면 나는 그대에게 그대를 줄 수 없다

단지 바라보게 할 뿐이다
