이해가 일어나는 순간, 생각은 끝난다

아름다움, 사랑, 이해는 실제가 그 자신을 우리에게 알리는 세 가지 다른 방식들이다,

우리 대개의 이원적인 바라봄을 돌파한다

그리고 그것들은 우리가 갖고 있는 세 가지 다른 역량들과 상응한다

인간 존재들로서 우리는 인식하고, 느끼고, 생각한다

우리가 하는 모든 것이 이 세 가지, 인식하기, 느끼기, 생각하기 중 하나이다

in a way falling in love is similar experience but it comes through our feelings 

whereas this experience comes through perception

fallin in love is again, our normal life is carrying on the line of time, the way we think--

 

어느 면에서, 사랑에 빠진다 는 비슷한 경험이다

하지만 그것은 우리 느낌을 통해 온다

'이 경험' 이 인식에서 오는 것인데 반해

 

사랑에 빠진다 는 다시,

 

우리 대개의 삶은 시간의 선을 따라 계속된다, 우리가 생각하는 방식 등은

 

this experience called falling in love is really, it doesn't take place on the horizontal dimension,

it is an intervention into our normal horizontal line of time, it is a crack

otherwise seems to be just seamless flow of experience in time

it is an intervention of love, that which means an intervention of reality

so in the relation to the exhibition that i saw, it came through the perceiving

so what was being communicated, we call it beauty

 

사랑에 빠진다 라고 칭해지는, '이 경험'은 정말은, 수평선상 차원에서 일어나지 않는다

그것은 보통의 수평선상 시간으로 들어서는,

개입이다, 균열이다

그렇지 않다면 그냥 시간 안에서의 끊임없는 경험의 흐름일 뿐이다

 

그것은 사랑의 개입이다, 실제의 개입이란 뜻이다

그래서 내가 본 전시와 관련하여,

그것은 인식하는 것을 통해 왔다

소통된 것은, 우리가 아름다움이라 하는 것

 

love is communication of exactly the same reality but through our feelings, we give it the name of love

experience of beauty and experience of love is exactly the same thing

and likewise when we have conversations here and there is a moment of understanding

the moment of understanding is exactly the same experience 

as is the experience of love to our feelings, or beauty to our perceptions

a moment of understanding brings a thought process to an end by definition,

the thought process leads up

we're thinking about something, exploring it, consider and then understanding happens

the moment understanding happens, thought comes to an end

time ends that you're plunged for a moment into eternity

that's what experience of understanding is

 

사랑은 정확히 같은 실제다, 하지만 우리의 느낌을 통한다, 우리는 그것에 사랑이란 이름을 붙인다

아름다움의 경험과 사랑의 경험은 정확히 같은 것이다

마찬가지로 우리가 여기에서 대화를 하고 있고, 이해의 순간이 있다

이해의 순간이 정확히 같은 경험이다

 

사랑의 경험과 우리 느낌과의 관계,

아름다움과 우리 인식의 관계,

이해의 순간은 당연히 생각의 과정을 끝낸다

생각 과정이 앞선다, 우리는 무언가에 대해 생각하고, 그것을 탐험하고, 그러다가 이해가 일어난다

이해가 일어나는 순간, 생각은 끝난다

시간이 끝나고, 그대는 잠시 영원으로 떨어진다

그것이 이해의 경험이다

 

so understanding is to our thoughts, what love is to our feelings, what beauty is to our perceptions

they're three different windows onto the same reality

so beauty, love and understanding are three different ways

i'm reformulating it now

beauty, love and understanding are three different ways that reality communicates itself to us, break through our normal dualistic way of seeing

and they correspond to three different faculties that we have

as human beings we perceive, we feel and we think

everything we do is one of these three, perceiving feeling and thinking

 

그래서 이해는 우리의 생각과 관련되고, 사랑은 우리 느낌, 아름다움은 우리 인식

같은 실제에 대한 세 가지 다른 창문이다

아름다움, 사랑, 이해는 세 가지 다른 방식들이다

 

그것을 달리 말하겠다

through any of these three channels
