정말로 그대를 울리는, 그대에게 닿는 한 가지, 

그것과 머물러라

say, each wave you see in the ocean, no wave has autonomy as a wave

each wave has total ocean underneath it

every life form has the total, as a totality behind it

 

그대가 바다에서 보는 각 파도, 파도는 파도로서의 자치성을 갖고 있지 않다

각 파도는 그 아래, 완전한 바다를 갖고 있다

모든 삶의 형상들이, 그 뒤에 하나의 전체성으로, 전체를 갖고 있다

 

if you imagine a gem that's got thousands of facets, amazing gem stone

each facet appears to be unique

but when you see, the facet cannot exist apart from the stone

and each facet has total gem behind it

it's not even behind, it's part of it

if you have this sense within you, everything will go ok

 

무수한 면을 가진, 놀라운 보석을 상상한다면

각 면이 독특하게 나타나 보인다

하지만 그대가 바라볼 때, 그 면은 보석과 분리되어 존재할 수 없다

그리고 각 면은 그 뒤에 완전한 보석을 갖는다

뒤에라는 것도 아니다, 그것의 일부이다

그대가 그대 안에서 이런 느낌을 갖고 있다면, 모든 것이 괜찮을 것이다

 

actually as you're coming to be more aware, 

the more and more you're able to find one sentence now and again that contains all vitamins you eat,

it's just one thing, maybe one verse that speaks so profoundly inside you,

then you can sit with this

don't be reading more and more----because you don't need it, just confuse the mind, entertains your mind and distract you from the truth

or that your being become so mature, no matter how diverse you read, how far you go,

it all amounts to the same thing for you

 

사실 그대가 더 인식하게 될수록

점점 더, 그대가 먹는 모든 비타민을 갖고 있는 한 문장을, 때때로 발견할 수 있다

그냥 한 가지, 아마 한 구절일 수도 있다, 그대 안에서 아주 깊이 말하는

 

그러면 그대는 이것을 붙들고 앉을 수 있다

 

더 많이 읽기, 더 많이 읽기, 하지 마라

왜냐하면 그대에게 그런 것이 필요하지 않다,

그냥 마음을 혼동시킨다, 

그대의 마음을 즐기게 하고, 그대를 진리에서 벗어나게 한다

 

아니면 그대의 존재가 아주 성숙하게 되어서, 얼마나 다양하게 그대가 읽든, 얼마나 멀리 그대가 가든,

그 모든 것이 그대에게 같은 것이 된다

 

find the one thing which is the essence

 

본질인 한 가지를 찾아라

 

if you try to build a net to catch all the fishes in the ocean, you will fail, you cannot do it

find the one hook that can catch the whole ocean

one understanding that embodies everything,

one thing that really resonate, touch you, you stay with that

you don't have to turn the page

really stay with it until the full meaning of it reveals inside you

not just your head

that is the maturity

not reading reading --------- more and more, it's a mind abuse

if you're really smart, you read something that you haa-, 

if you really understand, every other verse is the echo of the same thing

 

그대가 바다에 있는 모든 물고기를 잡기 위한 어망을 만들려 한다면,

그대는 실패할 것이다, 그대는 그렇게 할 수 없다

온 바다를 잡을 수 있는, 하나의 갈고리를 발견해라

모든 것을 담는 하나의 이해

하지만 마음은 좀 움직임을 필요로 한다, 괜찮다

그리고 신뢰해라, 소우주의 진리를

if your heart is dedicated and respectful to what you seek, i will reveal it to you

this is still maya, still playing

there are different layers of maya

but the reality is maya-less

 

그대의 가슴이 그대가 구하는 것에 헌신하고, 그대가 구하는 것을 존중한다면

나는 그대에게 그것을 드러낼 것이다

 

이것은 여전히 환영이다, 아직 놀이다

다른 층의 환영이 있다

 

하지만 실체는 환영 없음이다

 

as much as we retain some quality, you will be eating the fruit of that quality a little bit

the bodily identity and the investment in the body put quite severe attacks upon the beingness

when the body is dropped, tremendous freedom is experienced

not just body, body attachment also

but other subtle attachments can be there

try to be above all of them

you don't have to what each one of them is

in the right time, it will reveal to you

but have the sense, 'i must be free of all attachments'

that itself is a mighty attitude

 

우리가 어떤 특질을 지니고 있는 만큼, 그 특질의 결과를 좀 맛볼 것이다

몸과 관련한 동일시와 몸에의 투자는, 존재 에 상당히 심각한 공격을 준다

몸이 내려놓아질 때, 어마어마한 자유가 경험된다

단지 몸이 아니라, 몸의 집착 또한

 

하지만 다른 미묘한 집착들이 있을 수 있다

그것들 모두를 넘어서 있으려 해라

그것들 하나 하나가 무엇인지 알아야 할 필요 없다

적절한 때, 그것이 그대에게 드러낼 것이다

하지만, '나는 모든 집착에서 자유로워야 한다' 라는 느낌을 가져라

그것 자체가 강력한 태도다
