정확히 어디에 그대가 위치해 있는가

그대 안의 환경에 좀 주의를 주어라, 얼마나 평화로운지

 

이것과 저것이란 느낌을 벗어나, 혹은 마음의 오고 감을 벗어나

모든 것이 그대의, 끝이 없는 존재 의 광대함 안에서 일어나고 있다

this is the great miracle of seeing

we're seeing and understanding and being are one

look, without going through the forest of dissecting the mind and targetting the person,

just abiding in that effortless, alreadyness, self, you become indescribable, boundless

it is not a product of your imagination

it is not a purduct of wishful thinking

 

이것이 바라봄의 커다란 기적이다

우리는 바라본다, 이해한다, 존재한다, 가 하나이다

 

마음의 숲을  세밀히 조사함 없이, 제한된 인식을 표적으로 함 없이,

그냥 노력 없이, 이미 있는 자신을 따르면서

그대는 설명할 수 없고, 경계 없이 된다

그것은 그대가 상상해낸 것이 아니다

소망하는 생각이 만들어낸 것이 아니다

 

it is as though there's wiping of the mirror, and ignorance itself is non-existence, even knowledge

for what is cannot be described and cannot be evaluated, cannot be the best part of the play of interrelated opposites, none of this

our conditioning may bring up doubt and say, 'yes, but what is the value of such a thing?'

don't stand with the mind

don't identify with anything at all

and it would become obvious that all things are perceived in their momentariness

but the very perceiving of them cannot be measured

you are at the place of the immeasurable

but not in the way we normally think of our self, clothes and form, conditioning and memory, fear

come to know that which is beyond their reach, beyond even the grasp of the intellect, timeless, impersonal

but never dry, not dull, not intellectual

do not try to capture or understand the self with the mind

 

거울이 닦이는 것과 같다, 

그리고 무지 그 자체가 존재하지 않는다, 앎 조차

 

설명될 수 없고, 평가될 수 없고, 서로 반대되는 놀이 중 최고의 부분일 수 없는 것이다,

이런 것 중 어떤 것도 아니다

우리의 조건화는 의심을 일으키고, '그래, 하지만 그런 것의 가치가 무엇인가' 라 말할 수 있다

마음의 편에 서지 마라

 

어떤 것과도 동일시하지 마라

모든 것들이 그들의 순간에서 인식되는 것이, 명백해질 것이다

하지만 그들을 인식하는 그것 자체는 측정될 수 없다

그대가 그 측정할 수 없는 자리에 있다

하지만 우리가 보통 우리 자신, 옷, 형상, 조건화, 기억, 두려움으로 생각하는 방식에서가 아니다

그것들이 닿는 것을 벗어나 있는 그것을 이해해라, 지성의 이해조차 벗어나 있는,

시간을 벗어나 있고, 제한되어 있지 않은

하지만 결코 메마르지 않다, 둔감하지 않다, 지적인 것이 아니다

 

마음으로 자신 을 잡으려거나 이해하려 하지 마라

 

even now, just in the hearing of this, what are you doing?

and yet pat a little attention to your inner environment, how peaceful

where precisely are you located?

beyond the sense of this and that or the comings and goings of the mind

all is taking place in the vastness of your unending presence

 

지금도, 그냥 이것을 듣는 중에,

그대는 무엇을 하고 있는가

 

하지만 그대 안의 환경에 좀 주의를 주어라, 얼마나 평화로운지

정확히 어디에 그대가 위치해 있는가

이것과 저것이란 느낌을 벗어나, 혹은 마음의 오고 감을 벗어나

모든 것이 그대의, 끝이 없는 존재 의 광대함 안에서 일어나고 있다

 

are you in a state of hypnosis? or imagination?

or sober seeing?

 

그대는 최면 상태에 있는가, 혹은 상상?

아니면 제정신인 바라봄?

 

even the very act or functioning of perception appears within you

who can you be?

 

인식의 움직임 그 자체 혹은 인식의 작용이 그대 안에서 나타나 보인다

그대는 누구일 수 있을까

 

do not be pulled into the rabbithole of personal thinking and a little squabbles of the ego

far far beyond is your being

but not beyond in terms of distance, simply beyond in terms of subtlety, purity, sinless

that which cannot be defined even by the most eloquent descriptions

that alone is

 

제한된 생각의 토끼굴, 에고의 시시한 싸움으로 끌려들지 마라

휠씬 훨씬 너머에 그대의 존재가 있다

하지만 거리의 측면에서 벗어나 있다 가 아니다

미묘함, 순수함, 죄 없음의 측면에서 이다

그것은 가장 잘 설명한 표현으로도 설명될 수 없다

 

그것만이 있다

 

all questions, all doubts, all answers are themselves clouds floating by in the infinite expanse of being

where are you?

how are you?

where precisely are you?

 

모든 질문, 모든 의심, 모든 대답, 그것들 자체가 구름이 떠다니는 것이다,

무한한 존재의 공간에서

 

그대는 어디에 있는가

그대는 어떤가

정확히 어디에 그대가 있는가
