자신 은 상상 될 수 없다

 

상상 이전에 있다

그대 자신을 찾아라, 계속해서 바라봐라, 그러면 이 모든 것이 분명해진다

그대의 깊은 기쁨에게

 

그리고 그것에 대해 말하지 마라

이 이해 안에서 키워져라, 그대의 주의를 이 바라봄 안에서 절여라

결과에 대해서는 걱정하지 마라, 자동적으로 일어난다

그대의 역할은 단지,

그 모든 것이 마음을 통해 인식되고, 

몸으로, 형상으로, 이름으로 일어나는 그 모든 것이 그들의 드러남에서 일시적인 것을

바라보고 이해하는 것이다

그리고 그것들을 바라보는 그것은 상대적으로 안정되어 있다

 

그냥 계속해서 바라보고 확인해라

the self is not a position

it is not an attitude

the idea of looking towards to the self from the mind is itself the mind

you are already the self in which mind and all of its momentary play is perceived effortlessly

it is already so

i only attempt to remind you

even the idea of trying to reach the self or to attain the self, is perceived in the self

 

자신 은 위치가 아니다

태도가 아니다

마음에서 자신을 바라보는 생각, 그 자체가 마음이다

그대는 이미 자신 이다, 그 안에서 마음과 그 순간의 모든 놀이가 노력 없이 인식된다

 

이미 그러한 것이다

나는 그대에게 다시 떠올리게 하려고 할 뿐이다

자신 에 이르려, 혹은 자신 을 얻으려 한다는 생각조차, 자신 안에서 인식된다

 

and yet there is stubbornness that arises in the imagined self,

it has received so much attentions

it has been fed for so long

and it is polluted with ignorance

but now also this is perceived

 

그럼에도 상상된 자신에서 떠오르는 완고함이 있다

그것이 너무나 많은 관심을 받아왔다

너무 오랫동안 먹이를 받아왔다

그리고 그것은 무지로 오염되어 있다

 

하지만 이제 이것 또한 인식된다

 

it seems sometimes that it is unavoidable, effortless to be in the state of personhood

but i say, persist in verifying that whatever appears on the screen of the mind or in the theater of consciousness, is observable in the self that you are timelessly

just keep looking, confirming

don't worry about later results

just keep looking, just keep confirming, not as a mental exercise, but as the very natural recognition

and in some unexpected way, the influence of the psychological mind, the hypnosis of conditioning, is fading

in the light of your perceiving

take no shape

you are before all shapes

no shape perceived is constant, all that is perceived is variable, clouds passing

but unlike a cloud and unlike time, you the witness are not passing

even now, it is already so

 

제한된 성격의 상태에서 노력 없이 있는 것이, 때로는 피할 수 없는 것 같아 보인다

하지만 나는 말한다,

끈기있게 확인해라,

마음의 화면에 혹은 의식의 영화관에 무엇이 나타나든, 

그대 인식의 빛 안에서 사라진다

 

모양을 잡지 마라

그대는 모든 모양들 이전에 있다

인식되는 어떤 모양도 불변이 아니다, 인식되는 모든 것이 변화한다, 구름이 지나간다

하지만 구름과 다르게, 시간과 다르게, 그대는 바라봄 이다, 지나가지 않는다

지금도, 그것은 이미 그렇다

 

the self cannot be imagined

and it is prior to imagination

look for yourself, keep looking and all this becomes obvious

to your deep joy

and don't speak about it

incubate in this recognition, marinate your attention in this seeing

don't worry about results, they happen automatically

your part is simply to look and recognize that all that is perceivable through the mind, all that arises as body, as form, as name, are temporary in their manifestation

and that which witnesses them is relatively stable

just keep looking and confirming

just be one with that formless seeing, by and by everything comes into harmony

점차 점차, 모든 것이 조화롭게 된다
