그리고 모두가 그것을 좋아했다, 그리고 그것 때문에 모두가 곤란하다, 그래서 그들은 가장 높은 가르침을 원한다

아무도 가장 낮은 가르침이 무엇인지 알지 못한다

---

'i am brahman, i am',

not a mechanical mantra but the intuitive, insightful contemplation imbibed in the heart

 

'나는 최고 의식, 나 이다'

 

기계적인 만트라가 아니라, 가슴에 받아들여져 있는 직관적이고 통찰력 있는 숙고다

 

'will destroy disease of thought'

 

'생각이란 질병을 무너뜨릴 것이다'

 

why caught thought disease? nobody call thought disease

with thought, you can make money

he doesn't need this

people run after things and kill each other for stupid things

he says also, this thought is just stupid

once you wake up to what you are

yet even so, for a while, they keep coming up whether you like them or not

 

왜 생각을 질병이라 붙들었는가, 아무도 생각을 질병이라 하지 않는다

생각으로 그대는 돈을 벌 수 있다

 

그에게는 이런 것이 필요하지 않다

사람들은 -것들을 뒤쫓는다, 그리고 어리석은 것들 때문에 서로를 죽인다

 

그는 또한 말한다, 생각은 그냥 어리석다

그대가 그대인 것에 깨어나고 나면

하지만 그렇다 해도, 잠시, 그것들은 계속해서 나타난다, 그대가 그것들을 좋아하든 아니든

 

'the mantra i am brahman, i am' will destory disease of intellect'

 

'나는 최고 의식, 나 이다' 라는 만트라는 지력이라는 질병을 무너뜨릴 것이다

''ha! i don't want my intellect to be destroyed''

''why don't i destory things i don't like? what am i going to do without my intellect?''

 

하! 나는 나의 지력이 무너지길 원하지 않는다

내가 좋아하지 않는 것들을 무너뜨리는 것이 어떤가,

나의 지력이 없으면 난 어떡해

 

'the mantra i am brahman i am' will destroy the disease of the mental agony'

 

'나는 최고 의식, 나 이다' 라는 만트라는 정신적 고통을 무너뜨릴 것이다'

 

'the mantra i am brahman i am' will destroy all the worlds'

 

'나는 최고 의식, 나 이다' 라는 만트라는 모든 세상을 무너뜨릴 것이다'

 

oh?! we need the world

 

오, 우리에게는 세상이 필요하다

 

'the mantra i am brahman i am' will destroy the defect of desire

the mantra i am brahman i am' will destroy the defect of anger'

 

'나는 최고 의식, 나 이다' 라는 만트라는 욕망이라는 결함을 무너뜨릴 것이다

'나는 최고 의식, 나 이다' 라는 만트라는 분노라는 결함을 무너뜨릴 것이다

 

everything that we pursue or suffer, they will dissolve in that understanding

not an intellectual understanding

you know he's speaking to you, to all of us

but he's also speaking as you

but our mind says, 'not yet, not yet', 'i'm on the way, coming, ribhu please, we're getting there, finish my icecream and come'

 

우리가 추구하거나 고통스러워하는 모든 것, 그것들은 그 이해에서 사라질 것이다

지적인 이해가 아니라

 

그대는 그가 그대에게 말하는 것을 안다, 우리 모두에게

하지만 그는 그대로서 또한 말하고 있다

하지만 우리 마음은 말한다, '아직 아니야, 아직 아니야' '나는 가능 중이야, 가고 있어, ribhu 제발, 우리는 그곳으로 가고 있어, 내 아이스크림 다 먹고 간다'

how can be the highest teaching without the highest student?

if you're talking about just some written words that say something profound, what use are they?

if there is not somebody to grasp them

so the highest teaching must mean the highest student to understand

the highest teaching for you is a thing that helps you to be free of a lot of concepts you're holding on to something

 

가장 높은 학생 없이 어떻게 가장 높은 가르침이 있을 수 있을까

그대가 그냥 깊은 것을 말하는 적힌 말에 대해 말하는 것이라면, 그것들은 무슨 소용인가

그것들을 이해할 누군가가 없다면

그래서 가장 높은 가르침은, 가장 높은 학생이 이해하는 것을 뜻하는 것이어야 한다

그대에게 가장 높은 가르침은, 그대가 무언가 붙들고 있는, 무수한 개념들에서 자유로워지도록 돕는 것이다

everybody run, 'yeah, what is it?'

 

''여어, 난 가장 높은 가르침을 나누고 싶다''

 

모두가 달려온다, '그래, 그것이 무엇인가'

ok, let me ask you, what is the lowest teaching? - oh the lowest teaching? who wants to know the lowest teaching?

what is the lowest teaching? i'm going to answer your question, what is the highest teaching,

what is the lowest teaching, in the world?

the lowest teaching is that you are this body and you are this person

and everybody has liked that one, and because of that, everyone is in trouble and they want the highest teaching

nobody knows what the lowest teaching is

 

''그래, 그대는 그것을 얻을 수 있다, 얻고 싶은가'' - 우와 그럼 그럼

 

''좋다, 내가 그대에게 묻자, 가장 낮은 가르침은 무엇인가'' - 가장 낮은 가르침? 누가 가장 낮은 가르침을 원하는가

 

가장 낮은 가르침은 무엇인가, 나는 그대의 질문에 답하겠다, 가장 높은 가르침이 무엇인지

세상에서 가장 낮은 가르침은 무엇인가

가장 낮은 가르침은, 그대는 이 몸이다, 그대는 이런 사람이다 라는 것이다

그리고 모두가 그것을 좋아했다, 그리고 그것 때문에 모두가 곤란하다, 그래서 그들은 가장 높은 가르침을 원한다

if we understood that what the lowest teaching is,

lowest teaching, everybody bought it, everybody accepted it, you don't even know you're accepting it

because our parents taught us, grandparents teach you, and minister teach you, the politicians teach you, the doctors teach you, scientists, astromauts,

and everybody accept, i am this, your citizen

then you want, what is the highest teaching?

the highest teaching is to get you out of that, out of the lowest teaching accepted in you

 

우리가 가장 낮은 가르침이 무엇인지 이해한다면

가장 낮은 가르침,

모두가 그것을 잡았다, 모두가 그것을 받아들였다, 그대는 그대가 그것을 받아들이고 있는지도 모른다

왜냐하면 우리 부모가 우리에게 가르쳤다, 조부모, 성직자, 정치가, 의사, 과학자, 우주 비행사가 그대에게 가르친다

그리고 모두가 받아들인다, '나는 이렇다, 당신의 시민이다'

그런 다음 그대는 원한다, 무엇이 가장 높은 가르침인가

가장 높은 가르침은 그대가 그것에서 나오도록 하는 것이다, 그대 안에 받아들여진 가장 낮은 가르침에서

그것이 전부다, 내가 요악한다면

 

what is the highest teaching? not something to keep

the lowest teaching everybody kept

the highest teaching, everybody must let go

 

가장 높은 가르침은 무엇인가, 간직할 것이 아니다

가장 낮은 가르침은 모두가 간직했다

가장 높은 가르침은, 모두가 놓아야 한다

 

highest teaching is just a myth

ok, how does it serve you?

 

높은 가르침이란 신화일 뿐이다

그래, 그것이 그대에게 어떻게 기여하는가

 

if you know the lowest teaching, you can stand a chance to find the highest teaching

maybe the highest teaching, just (손가락 한 번 튕김), is enough

if you don't know the lowest teaching, all the teachings in the world cannot help you

if you bought the lowest teaching, even the idea having the highest teaching will not help you

first you must know what is the lowest teaching and accept the truth of that

 

그대가 가장 낮은 가르침을 안다면, 그대는 가장 높은 가르침을 발견할 수 있는 기회를 가질 수 있다

아마 가장 높은 가르침은, 그냥 손가락 한 번 튕기는 정도로 충분하다

그대가 가장 낮은 가르침을 알지 못한다면, 세상에 있는 모든 가르침들이 그대를 도울 수 없다

그대가 가장 낮은 가르침을 쥐었다면, 가장 높은 가르침을 갖고 있다는 생각도 그대를 돕지 못할 것이다

먼저 그대는 가장 낮은 가르침이 무엇인지 알아야 한다, 그리고 그것의 사실을 받아들여야 한다
