i distinguish two different types of seeking

one that comes from a sense of lack,

and one that comes from a sense of fullness

 

난 두 가지 타입의 탐색을 구분한다

하나는 결핍감에서 오는 것이고,

다른 하나는 충족감에서 오는 것이다

 

to give you an example,

you may feel that something is missing, something is lacking,

and that sense of incompletion compels you to seek something or someone to fulfill yourself

that would be a desire that comes from a sense of lack

 

예를 들어,

뭔가를 놓치고 있다, 뭔가가 부족하다라 느껴질 수 있다

그 불완전한 느낌으로 그대를 충족시킬 수 있는 무언가나 누군가를 찾는다

그것은 결핍감에서 오는 욕망일 것이다

 

but you could also feel a sense of sufficienty, a sense of fullness

you could be completely at peace or feel very loving, and call a friend

that's also a desire, you're seeking something

but that desire doesn't come from lack

it's an expression of your inherent fullness

 

하지만 충족감, 완전한 느낌이 있을 수 있다
