사랑 기쁨에서 욕망이 나올 수 있다

어떤 종류의 욕구나 야망, 동기나 욕망이든

에고의 것이라 여겨지는 것이

영적 공동체에서 흔하다

이것은 완전히 오해다

 

결핍의 느낌, 에고의 느낌에서 나오는 욕망, 동기만이

여기에서 우리가 말하는 것과 반대되는 것이다

 

가령 욕망이 여전히 일어날 수 있다

하지만 결핍의 느낌에서 일어나는 것이 아니라

사랑, 기쁨에서 나올 수 있다

 

it's quite common in the spiritual community that

any kind of drive or ambitiion or motivation or desire is considered to be egoic

this is complete misunderstanding

only the desire, the motivation that comes from the sense of lack, the sense of ego,

is contrary to what we speak of here

but a desire for instance can still arise

but it doesn't come from a sense of lack

desire can arise out of love, joy

 

you've felt joy before and you felt the desire to express the joy in action

that's not an egoic desire

it's joy that comes from your happiness

it's not going towards your happiness

you can be passionate

you could be passionate about bringing this understanding of our shared beings for instance

into the world in some form working with in some sector of the community

because you share your being with misused animals or deprived children

you could feel that so strongly,

and as a result of that you could feel this great urge to to help them to set up a business, an organization

 

그대가 이전에 기쁨을 느낀 적 있다,

그 기쁨을 행동으로 표현하고 싶은 욕망을 느낀다

그것은 에고의 욕망이 아니다

행복에서 나오는 기쁨이다

그대의 행복을 향하는 것이 아니다

 

열정적일 수 있다

가령 우리의 존재가 나누어지는 이 이해를 일으키는 것에 대해 열정적일 수 있다

그것을 세상에 가져가는 것에

공동체의 한 분야와 함께 작업하는 것에

 

학대 당하는 동물이나 불우한 아이들과 함께 그대의 존재를 나눈다

그런 것을 그대가 아주 강하게 느낄 수 있다

그 결과, 그들을 돕고 싶어 조직을 만든다거나 하는 큰 열망을 느낄 수도 있다

 

just be careful if there's any attitude in you that thinks that

drive, enthusiasm is contrary to what we speak of here

that would be a misunderstanding

 

욕구, 열광이 여기에서 우리가 말하는 것과 반대되는 것이라 생각하는

그대 안의 태도를 조심해라

그것은 오해일 것이다
