단련이 필요하지 않은 그것은 무엇인가

그리고 수행이 필요한 것이 무엇인가

그대가 수행을 한다면, 해야 한다면, 수행의 끝을 알아라

수행은 계속되어서는 안 된다, 그대에게 끝을 가져다 주어야 한다

 

궁극적으로 모든 수행들은, 가장 높은 것에서, 단지

그대의 존재, 이미 있는 것, 을 비추는 거울처럼 된다

우리는 이미 그러한 것을 발견하기 위해 있다, 그것을 만들어내기 위해서가 아니라

the one who exists in the purest way, the sense of being, the sense i am, in us

that has acquired so much history through becoming a person with identity, 'i am this body', 'i am this person', ---

seeing through all these things, in those i am really not that

 

가장 순수한 방식으로 존재하는 자,

우리 안의, 존재하는 느낌, 내가 있다는 느낌,

그것은 '나는 이 몸이다, 이런 사람이다 --------' 의 동일시를 가진 제한된 인식이 되는 것을 통해

너무나 많은 과거사를 얻었다

 

이런 모든 것들을 꿰뚫어 보며, 나는 정말은 그것이 아니다 라고

somewhere in your knowing, actually what is not aunt, or papa or son or an accountant, not any of these things, not a male nor female

and who can bear that, that nakedness of seeing?

with exquisite joy

don't speak about it, because the world will not understand you

그대 앎의 어딘가에서, 사실은 이모-고모, 혹은 아빠나 아들, 회계사, 이것들 중 어떤 것도 아니다, 남성도 여성도 아니다 라 안다

그리고 누가 그것을 감당할 수 있을까, 그 벌거벗은 바라봄을

너무나 기뻐하며

 

그것에 대해 말하지 마라, 세상은 그대를 이해하지 못할 것이다

그것이어라,

몇몇이 다가올 것이다

그대와 함께 앉는다, 이 비어있음의 사원에서

그것에 대해 말하지 마라, 그것이 말하는 것이 아니라면

그 앎에서 절여져라, 신은 우리에게 그럴 수 있는 공간과 시간을 주었다

그 기회를 낭비하지 않도록 해라

누군가에게,

'병에 바람을 잡아 넣으려 하지 마라', 혹은 '컵에 바다를, -, 그렇게 하는 것의 결실 없음을 봐라' 라 말하는 것은

나의 말이 아니다, 나는 더 이상 그 말을 할 수 없다

나는, 우리는 귀 기울여 듣지 않는다, 그곳에 있지 않다 는 것을 알기 때문이다

 

내가 아이 때 들은 많은 것들은, 정말 좋은 뜻이었다

뭔가가 받아들일 수 없었다

그대에게, 그대가 하지 않아야 하는 것을 말해주기 보다

그대인 것과 그대가 아닌 것을 가리키는 것

그리고 그것을 그대의 직접 경험을 통해 확인하는 기회를 갖는다

계속해서 바라본다

왜냐하면 제한된 성격의 맥박이, 이 몸이 여기에 있는 한, 

그리고 그대는 의식한다, 생명의 호흡이 여기에 있다, 생각 활동의 가능성이 흐를 것이다

우리는 생각을 무력으로 멈출 수 없다

 

what is it that doesn't need to practice?

and what is it that does need to practice?

if you are practicing, must practice, and know the end of practice

practice must not be self perpetuated, it must bring you some finality

ultimately all practices in the highest of them will merely become like a reflection of mirror to your being, to what is already so

we're here to find what is already so, not to shape it

수행이 필요하지 않은 그것은 무엇인가

그리고 수행이 필요한 것이 무엇인가

그대가 수행을 한다면, 해야 한다면, 수행의 끝을 알아라

and that is the good news

because each of us had to create it, we would all fail

first, it's not possible, it's a waste of time

but it is discovered

not self creation but self discovery, meaning you can only discover
