하지만 그대가 달아난다면, 나는 그대를 결코 보지 못할 것이다, 내가 그대를 찾지도 않을 것이다

if somebody criticize you, and by criticizing you, rejecting you, 

set your being on fire

and so now you're going to go to the movie to watch james bond and so on,

but right now, you're in bondage

and so because of being attacked, you don't go out, you're sitting your little hot on fire

and you turn your attention to the same exercise

and with this simple exercise, trascend the effects of it

and you experience through your transcending

will you call this rejection your enemy?

 

누군가가 그대를 비난한다면, 

그리고 그대를 비난하는 것으로, 그대를 거절하는 것으로,

그대의 존재는 불길에 타오른다

 

그대가 제임스 본드 등 영화를 보러 간다,

지금 그대는 얽매여 있다

 

그리고

공격 받은 것 때문에, 그대가 밖에 나가지 않는다,

그대의 작은 불길에 앉아 있다

그대의 주의를 같은 연습으로 돌린다

only when we become personal, you remember

and then what happen? you continue to support that duality in some way

but the ability, the capacity to transcend these states,

begin here with this simple exercise

 

그대는 그대가 처벌받지 않고는, 누군가를 처벌할 수 없다

 

하지만 이런 상태들을 변형시킬 수 있는 능력, 역량,

이 단순한 연습과 여기에서 시작해라

 

you can be pilot, you could go all over the world

but you can be just a little beggar sleeping in a cardwood box, contemplating these things, and you are universal

you can travel around the universe and still be blocked in your little mind

 

그대가 비행기 조종사일 수 있다, 온 세상을 다닐 수 있다

 

하지만 그대가 단지 작은 거지일 수도 있다, 종이 상자에서 잠을 자는,

이런 것들을 숙고하는,

그대는 전체적이다

 

그대은 온 세상을 여행다닐 수 있다, 그러면서 그대의 작은 마음에 갇혀 있을 수 있다

 

make no plans for future

give a little time to be fully present

but not present as an instant of time

what would you have to do?

 

미래를 향한 어떤 계획도 세우지 마라

완전히 지금 있는데 시간을 좀 주어라

하지만 시간의 한 순간으로서의 지금이 아니다

 

그대가 무엇을 해야 할까

 

it's not a technique

if i give you a technique, you won't be able to keep it up

but if you look and see, whatever positions, i assume like this is only momentary, just another clouds, taking another shape,

and it is fine for a while because you're not be able to avoid this for a while

but by itself, with your own persistence, your committment, your devotion to truth,

falls away

and you probably won't know when that moment happen

 

기술이 아니다

내가 그대에게 기술을 준다면, 그대는 그것을 유지할 수 없을 것이다

하지만 그대가 바라본다면, 

무슨 위치이든, 단지 순간적인 것으로 추정한다, 그냥 또 다른 구름이다, 또 다른 모양을 취한다,

 

그리고 그런 것은 잠시 괜찮다, 그대는 잠시 동안은 이런 것을 피할 수 없을 것이다

하지만 저절로, 그대 자신의 끈기로, 그대의 기여, 진리에 대한 그대의 헌신으로,

그리고 그대는 그 순간이 일어날 때, 알지 못할 수도 있다

 

continue to just verify

whatever your beingness is disturbed, mind is disturbed,

rather than search for distractions

let him bubble up inside, energetically, dynamically,

 

계속해서 그냥 확인해라

그대의 존재가 방해받는 것이 무엇이든, 마음이 방해받는다,

 

혼란스러움을 향해 가기 보다는

don't try to stop,

you don't like the cloud, you cannot go in the sky and stop the clouds

let it flow

identify as the sky like awareness itself

in which even the functioning of perceiving is itself known

 

그냥 바라봐라

멈추려 하지 마라

그대가 구름을 좋아하지 않는다, 하늘에 가서 구름을 멈출 수 없다

흘러가도록 두어라

하늘과 같은 각성 그 자체로서 분명히 해라

그 안에서, 인식 작용조차 알려진다

 

you're without edges, without boundary

and i want to know if this is the fruit of imagination

 

그대는 끝이 없다, 경계가 없다

그리고 나는 이것이 상상의 결실인지 알고 싶다

 

everyone is living in a state of distractedness

and to only major distraction is somehow a sense of being distracted for oneself,

that is also phenomenal

but is at the root of the tree of the phenomality, this understanding

 

모두가 혼란의 상태에서 살고 있다

그리고 주요 혼란은 어떻게 해서인가 자신이 혼란해지는 느낌이다

그것 또한 현상적이다

하지만 현상계 나무의 근원에, 이 이해가 있다

 

some of you here, whoever is here,

and words i'm sharing with you have sprouted inside your heart,

consciousness will bring you to me and we'll keep seeing each other, wherever you go

but if you're running, i'll never see you nor will i look for you

 

여기에 있는 그대들 중에서, 여기에 있는 누구든,

내가 그대와 나누고 있는 말이 그대의 가슴 안에서 싹을 틔운다면

의식은 그대를 나에게 데려올 것이다,

우리는 계속해서 서로를 볼 것이다, 그대가 어디를 가든

하지만 그대가 달아난다면, 나는 그대를 결코 보지 못할 것이다, 내가 그대를 찾지도 않을 것이다

 

because my eyes are not in my head
