진실한 삶의 가치에 대해 모른다는 듯

 

 

그대가 진실한 무언가를 찾는다,

그런데 그대가 만나는 이들이 모두, 계속 그것이 얼마나 어려운지 말한다,

이것은 좋은 동료가 아니다

 

그리고 그것이 그대의 마음에서 나오는 것이라면

그대 마음이란 동료와 분리해라

그대 자신의 마음에서 어떻게 달아날 수 있을까

 

근데 원하는가

i've seen some of them over the years

i struggle, i couldn't get a meaningful interaction

because it's all intellectual

 

내가 수 년에 걸쳐 본 이들이 있는데도,

난 힘들었다, 의미 있는 상호작을 할 수가 없었다

다 지적인 것 뿐이라

 

why is misunderstanding so easy and understanding so hard?

because something is presented very simple

so we can't really say, it was too advanced intellectually

 

what is the problem?

good question to ask, give a briefest synopsis of the talks today

what would you take out of it today, not intellectually? 

this is real food

 

왜 오해는 그렇게 쉽고, 이해는 그렇게 힘든가

뭔가가 아주 단순하게 주어지는데도

 

그래서 우리는, '지적으로 아주 진보되어 있는 것이다'라 말할 수 없다

 

문제가 무엇인가

하면 좋을 질문은, 오늘 말한 것을 아주 간단하게 요약해봐라 다

오늘의 것에서 그대는 어느 것으로 하겠는가, 지적으로 말고

이것이 진짜 양분이다 하는 것

 

actually so many people come for this

and what is the force that is blocking this?

simple thing, very human thing is met with so many resistance, why?

 

사실 아주 많은 사람들이 이것 (자신 발견) 을 위해 온다

그것을 막는 힘은 무엇인가

간단한 것인데, 아주 인간적인 것인데, 너무 많은 저항이 만나진다, 왜 인가

 

it's like we don't know value of true life

 

우린 진실한 삶의 가치에 대해 모른다는 것처럼

 

if you are yourself searching for something true,

and all you meet is people keep telling you how difficult it is,

this is not good company

and if it's coming from your own mind, 

disassociate from company of your own mind

how can run away from your own mind?

do you want to do?

 

그대가 진실한 무언가를 찾는다,

and you have investments in the national bank of your own mind

if we say, 'could treasure be our self image we've been carrying around for so long'

please tell me, what is the fruit of it?

it's already offering so much

why do you want to go beyond that?

mind is offering so much

your person and the world is offering so much

what're you doing here?

 

왜냐하면 그대의 마음 또한 보물을 갖고 있다

마음의 은행에 그대가 투자한 것들이 있다

 

'보물이 아주 오랫동안 우리가 지고 온 자기 이미지일 수 있지 않을까'라고 한다면

 

부디 내게 말해달라, 그 결실이 무엇인가

 

그것은 이미 아주 많은 것을 주고 있다

왜 그것을 벗어나고 싶어하는가

마음은 아주 많은 것을 주고 있다

'난 어떤 사람이다'라는 것과 세상은 아주 많은 것을 주고 있다

그대는 여기에서 뭘 하고 있는가

 

mind is offering so much,

so much choice, options, how to do, how to gain, how to become, how to win

what is this place offering?

why you are here?

what am i doing here? as what you're doing here,

and then i want to find out why i'm here

if you want my company, and if i want your company

and what for?

 

마음은 아주 많은 것을 내놓는다,

아주 많은 선택, 선택 사항들, 어떻게 하는지, 어떻게 얻는지, 어떻게 되는지, 어떻게 이기는지

 

이 자리는 무엇을 주는가

그대는 왜 여기에 있는가

난 여기에서 무엇을 하는가

 

그대는 여기에서 뭘 하는가, 그래서 난 왜 여기에 있는지 알고 싶다

그대가 나와 같이 있고 싶다면, 그리고 내가 그대와 같이 있고 싶다면

무엇을 위해?

 

and you can ask the same question for each other

 

그리고 서로에게 이 같은 질문을 할 수 있다

 

and of me

it's amazing that we can't ask this question at all

they don't give anytime for yourself even

 

나에 대해서도

 

우리가 이 질문을 전혀 할 수 없다는 것이 놀랍다

사람들은 그들 자신에게조차 시간을 내지 않는다

 

human being who has come to a point ithat they're not n desire or pursuit of anything in this world,

is very rare

 

세상에서 욕망에 있지 않은, 혹은 세상의 어떤 것을 쫓고 있지 않은 지점에 이른 인간 존재는

아주 드물다
