내일이란 것이 있는가

감각이 생각의 움직임을 만나면, 내일이 있다

생각은 하나의 조각이기 때문이다

어제의 기억에 근거한 것이다

생각은 결코 전체가 아니다

 

감각은 완전히 전체다

그래서 내일이 없다

나에게 동의하지 마라

그대가 바라볼 때, 무엇이 일어나는지 봐라

그대의 모든 감각이 완전히 깨어 바라봐라

now is there such thing as tomorrow in the psychological world?

if i live with tomorrow, then it's a mechanistic process

because thought has created tomorrow psychologically

that may be an illusion altogether

so as a human being, i must find out

because that's the pattern, that's the conditiioning,

that's the accepted norm of existence,

which may be totally absurd

 

심리적 세상에서 내일이란 것이 있는가

내일과 산다면, 기계적 처리 과정이다

왜냐하면 생각이 심리적으로 내일을 만들어낸다

 

그것 모두 환영일 수 있다

 

그래서 한 인간 존재로서, 난 발견해야 한다

왜냐하면 그건 패턴, 조건화, 받아들여진 존재의 표준이다

완전히 엉터리인 것일 수 있는데

 

because i am concerned as a human being,  with radical transformation

and we're examining the will, the will in action

and will in action means tomorrow, the directive

and is there such thing as tomorrow psychologically, apart from biologically, physically?

i need time, there is tomorrow

if i have to learn and so on

 

한 인간 존재로서 난, 급진적 변형에 관심 있다

그리고 우리는 그 의지를 조사해본다, 행동 의지

행동 의지란 내일을 뜻한다, 가리키는 것이다

생물학적으로, 물리적으로 말고, 심리적으로 내일이란 것이 있는가

 

'나에게 시간이 필요하다'에는 내일이 있다

'내가 뭔가를 배운다면, 등등'에는 내일이 있다

 

so is there tomorrow?

there is no tomorrow when there is only sensation

and no image and no thought

i wonder if you capture it? do you get it?

 

내일이 있는가

오로지 감각만이 있을 땐 내일이 없다

이미지도 없다, 생각도 없다

이것을 이해하겠는가

 

you see, people, especailly so-called religious people, the monks throught the world,

have said, 'sensation is totally wrong, control it,

because sensation leads to desire,

and desire means the woman or the man

god cannot accept a man who has  desire

therefore suppress desire, control all your sensations

because if you don't, you are in the devil's hand'

 

사람들은, 온 세상 두루 특히 종교적이라 하는 사람들은, 말한다

 

'감각은 완전히 잘못되었다, 그것을 통제해라

감각은 욕망으로 가기 때문이다

욕망이란 여자나 남자다

신은 욕망을 가진 인간을 받아들일 수 없다

그러니 욕망을 억압해라, 모든 감각을 통제해라

그러지 않는다면, 악마의 손에 있는 것이다'

 

so we are saying something quite opposite

which is, sensation is natural,

sensation must eixst, does exist, it's a fact

if you don't have a sensation fully alert, you are paralyzed

you may be paralyzed because we have learned the art of suppression

 

우리는 상당히 반대의 것을 말한다

감각은 자연스럽다

감각은 존재해야 한다, 존재한다, 사실이다

감각이 완전히 깨어 있지 않다면, 마비되어 있는 것이다

우리는 억압의 예술을 익혀왓으므로, 그대는 마비되어 있을 수 있다

 

so there is this,

all your sensations,

 

when that sensation meet the movement of thought,

then there is tomorrow

because thought is a fragment, because it is based on yesterdays' memory

thought is never whole

 

감각이 생각의 움직임을 만나면, 내일이 있다

so sensation totally is whole

therefore there is no tomorrow

don't agree with me

see what happens when you do look at those hills, anything

look at it with all your sense fully awakened

 

감각은 완전히 전체다

그래서 내일이 없다

나에게 동의하지 마라

그대가 바라볼 때, 무엇이 일어나는지 봐라

그대의 모든 감각이 완전히 깨어 바라봐라

 

not only your brain or mind,

becaue mind is part of sensations, matter

with all your sensations

then you will see thought comes along and the image making begins,

and tomorrow will happen

 

두뇌 혹은 마음만이 아니라

왜냐하면 마음은 감각의 일부다, 물질이다

 

그대의 모든 감각으로

그 때 생각이 나타나는 것을 본다, 그리고 이미지가 만들어지기 시작한다,

그리고 내일이 일어날 것이다

 

but when there is only complete sensation,

without the movement of thought, 

there is only now, no tomorrow

i wonder if you see this

 

하지만 오로지 완전히 감각만이 있을 때

생각의 움직임 없이,

지금만이 있다, 내일 없이

 

난 그대가 이것을 보는지 모르겠다
