때로 우리는 너무 언어에, 말하는데 익숙해있다. 그래서 지성이 아는 자로서 나타나 보인다

-the  clinging vine of worldly existence cannot affect me at all-

 

-세상 존재의 꼭 붙드는 덩굴은 나에게 전혀 영향을 줄 수 없다-

 

the sage is saying that,

when the sage speaks, he's not speaking personally, he's speaking universally,

so he's speaking on behalf of all of us,

he's speaking the thing we're not able to speak at the moment but we are,

and he's speaking it for you, for all of us

 

현자가 그렇게 말한다

현자가 말할 때, 그는 제한되어 말하지 않는다, 전체적으로 말하고 있다

그래서 그는 우리 모두를 대신하여 말한다

우리가 지금 당장은 말할 수 없지만 우리인 것을 그가 말하고 있다, 

그는 그대를 위해서, 우리 모두를 위해서 말한다

 

-contentment and pleasures, however many cannot affect me at all

the bondage of ignorance, this world of apperance cannot affect me at all

a nectarian knowledge-

 

-만족과 즐거움이 얼마나 많든 나에게 전혀 영향을 미칠 수 없다

무지의 속박, 이 세상의 나타나 보이는 모습은 내게 전혀 영향을 미칠 수 없다

감로의 앎-

 

nectarian menas what? the nectar of knowledge,

 

nectarian 은? 앎의 달콤한 즙 이다

 

-unchanging blisee,

i am everywhere like space

neithere troubles nor the sorrows nor pleasures have any effect on my intellect

nor can the difficulties attending yoga have any effect on my mind

whatever may happen to stir up the ego cannot affect me at all

i am nectarian knowledge, unchanging bliss, i'm everywhere like space-

 

-변하지 않는 지복,

나는 모든 곳에 있다, 공간처럼

문제도 슬픔도 즐거움도 나의 지성에 어떤 영향을 주지 않는다

요가 에 참여하는 어려움도 나의 마음에 어떤 효과를 줄 수 없다

무엇이 일어나 에고를 흔들어 놓든 나에게 전혀 영향을 미칠 수 없다

나는 감로의 앎, 변하지 않는 지복, 나는 모든 곳에 있다 공간처럼-

 

what is he referring to?

-i am nectarian knowledge, unchanging bliss, i am everywhere like space-

is it a person? that in which even the sense of the person is seen,

the world that appears through the senses and the mind is seen,

but it remains untouched,

body come, body live, body go, but it is beyond age,

it is neither young or old,

 

그는 무엇에 대해 말하고 있는가

-나는 감로의 앎, 변하지 않는 지복, 나는 모든 곳에 있다 공간처럼-

제한된 인식인가,

그것 안에서 제한된 인식의 느낌조차 바라보아진다

감각과 마음을 통해 나타나 보이는 세상이 바라보아진다

하지만 그것은 닿여지지 않고 남아있다

몸은 온다, 몸은 산다, 몸은 간다, 하지만 그것은 세월을 넘어서 있다

젋지도 늙지도 않다

 

don't need to imagine,

imagination cannot capture it,

imagination and its intention is also observed from here,

imagination can't give nothing to him, nor take anything away

 

상상할 필요 없다

상상은 그것을 잡아낼 수 없다

상상과 그 의도 또한 여기에서 관찰된다

상상은 그에게 아무것도 줄 수 없다, 아무것도 가져갈 수 없다

 

in the very core of your being, where is he? the Supreme Self,

the seeker searching for him loses himself in the discovery and realize i am this

 

그대 존재의 바로 그 중심에, 

그는 어디에 있는가, 최상의 존재,

그를 찾는 자는 발견 속에서 자신을 잃는다, 그리고 내가 이것이라는 것을 깨닫는다

 

what tims is it there? - what season, what level of heaven?

how far are we, are we near or far?

again, how close, how far, how distant are we from the infinite?

 

그 곳에서는 몇 시인가, - 무슨 계절인가, 무슨 단계의 천국인가

우리는 얼마나 멀리 있는가, 가까이 있는가 아니면 멀리 있는가

다시, 우리는 무한에서 얼마나 가까이, 얼마나 멀리, 얼마나 거리를 두고 있는가

 

woo- tricky,

how far from the limitless one?

mind still functioning? mind becomes impotent for responding to such a question?

 

우-교묘하다,

제한없는 것에서 얼마나 멀리 있는가

마음이 아직 움직이는가, 

마음은 이런 질문에 응하기엔 무력해지는가

 

sometimes we're too accustomed to language, to speaking,

so the intellect is presented as the knower,

but that is there before even the play of the intellect,

even before you say, i am, the voiceless i am is there,

so be in that,

thereafter speaking will come spontaneously, even involuntarily, you may find you speak

and you'll become fresh listener to your own words also

often it'll come like that

because the timing is God's timing,

somehow you're expressing and there's freshness to it,

is not some saved up knowledge that you had,

and even though you may have said something that may have said before, again everytime it's fresh

and even when you speak, even though your words might sound dualistic,

the power of them is unifying,

it'll come organically, even without intention, just through your openness, it come

 

때로 우리는 너무 언어에, 말하는데 익숙해있다

그래서 지성이 아는 자로서 나타나 보인다

하지만 그것은 지성의 놀이 전에 있다

그대가, i am, 목소리 없는 i am을 말하기도 전에 그 곳에 있다

그러니 그것에 있어라

그런 후 말하는 것이 자연스럽게 나올 것이다, 의도치 않게도, 그대가 말하는 것을 발견할 수 있다

그리고 그대는 그대 자신의 언어에 또한 신선한 듣는 자가 될 것이다

자주 그건 그렇게 올 것이다

왜냐하면 때가 신의 때이다

어떤 식으로든 그대가 표현을 하고, 그것에는 신선함이 있다

그대가 지닌, 저장되어 온 지식이 아니다

그대가 이전에 말했던 것을 말하는 것이더라도, 다시 언제나 신선하다

그대가 말할 때에도, 그대의 언어가 이중적으로 들릴지라도,

그 힘은 통합한다

유기적으로 나타날 것이다, 의도 없이도, 그냥 그대의 열려있음을 통해, 온다
