그대 안에서 최고의 것과 최악의 것을 일으킬 것이다

최상의 것으로 일으킬 것은

최상이란 그대가 영원한 본성이라는 것을 알아차리는 것이고,

그대 안의 영원한 것은 결코 죽지 않을 것이라는 것이다

이것이 그대에게 하나의 좋은 소식이다

 

최악의 것으로 일으켜질 것은

그대에게 그대의 에고가 아직 살아있다는 것을 보여줄 것이므로,

그리고 그것을 바라보는 것은 쉬운 것이 아니다

그대가 진리를 선택했을 때를 제외하고

그대는 에고를 바라볼 힘을 지닐 것이다

그리고 그것이 잘못되게 좋은 것이고, 무지일 뿐이라는 것을 알아차릴 것이다

 

이래서 그릇된 것은 그릇된 것으로,

무지는 무지로 알아차릴 때,

이것을, 그대 안의 진짜인 것에 깨어나는 것이라 한다

so all these things, unexpected things will come, and you will feel doubt, you will feel fear,

but i want to reassure you, you're on the right way,

because every human being will go through this at some point sooner or later.

your time has come to face this,

and i want to encourage that the highest forces in the universes is with you,

why? because your choice is for truth, not for your person to gain the truth

because the person is only like a mask worn over the truth.

i cannot give you the truth,

i can only help you to see the ignorance and so that the ignorance can go.

when ignorance leave, you are already here as that truth.

so this is why it's been so much joy for me,

because if i have to give you something,

i might run out, can't give everybody,

but because what is true is already with you,

i can only help you by the power of God to be free of the untrue

 

그래서 이러한 모든 것들, 예상하지 못했던 것들이 나타날 것이다,

그리고 그대는 의심을 느낄 것이다, 두려움을 느낄 것이다

 

하지만 나는 그대에게 확신을 주고 싶다, 그대는 제대로 가고 있다

 

모든 인간 존재는 머지 않아, 어느 지점에서인가, 이러한 것을 겪을 것이다

이것을 마주할 그대의 때는 왔다

 

그리고 나는 격려하고 싶다, 온 존재의 가장 높은 힘이 그대와 함께 있다

왜인가, 그대의 선택이 진리를 향하기 때문이다

그대의 제한된 인식이 진리를 얻는다는 것이 아니라

 

제한된 인식은 진리에 씌워진 가면과 같은 것일 뿐이다

나는 그대에게 진리를 줄 수 없다

그대를 도와 무지를 바라보게 할 수 있을 뿐이다, 그래서 무지가 사라질 수 있도록

 

무지가 떠날 때, 그대는 이미 진리로서 여기에 있다

 

이래서 이러한 것은 나에게 너무나 커다란 기쁨이다

내가 그대에게 무언가 주어야 한다면,

나는 다 떨어질 수도 있다, 모두에게 줄 수 없다

하지만 진짜인 것은 이미 그대에게 있으므로,

나는 오로지 신의 힘에 의해, 진짜이지 않은 것에서 자유롭게 되는 것을 도울 수 있을 뿐이다

 

 

but what happens on this path,

i must tell you this now,

that it will bring up the best and the worst in you,

can you hear what i said now?

it will bring up the worst and the best in you

 

하지만 이 길을 가는 중에 일어나는 것은

 

나는 지금 이것을 꼭 말하고 싶다,

그대 안에서 최고의 것과 최악의 것을 일으킬 것이다

 

내가 지금 말한 것을 들을 수 있는가

그대 안에서 최악의 것과 최상의 것을 일으킬 것이다

 

it will bring up the best because the best would be the realization that you are eternal nature

and that which is eternal in you will never die,

that is one great news for you.

it will bring up the worst because it will show you way your ego is still living

and that's not the easiest thing to see

except when you have chosen the truth

you'll have the strength to look at the ego

and to recognize that it is false good, to recognize that it's ignorance only,

 

최상의 것으로 일으킬 것은

최상이란 그대가 영원한 본성이라는 것을 알아차리는 것이고,

그대 안의 영원한 것은 결코 죽지 않을 것이라는 것이다

이것이 그대에게 하나의 좋은 소식이다

 

최악의 것으로 일으켜질 것은

그대에게 그대의 에고가 아직 살아있다는 것을 보여줄 것이므로,

그리고 그것을 바라보는 것은 쉬운 것이 아니다

그대가 진리를 선택했을 때를 제외하고

 

그대는 에고를 바라볼 힘을 지닐 것이다

그리고 그것이 그릇되게 좋은 것이고, 무지일 뿐이라는 것을 알아차릴 것이다

 

 

and that's why when you recognize what is false as false,

what is ignorance is ignorance, that's called waking up to what is real in you.

and i've seen it so many times that people who are on thie process of awakening from death into life,

fear comes, sometimes, they are deeply attached to some old concepts, old ideas,

your worst things are coming up

and they're holding them rather than offering them back to supreme consciousness.

they're holding onto them and often these people return against me also,

becasue they failed themselves at least for now,

 

이래서 그릇된 것은 그릇된 것으로,

무지는 무지로 알아차릴 때,

이것을, 그대 안의 진짜인 것에 깨어나는 것이라 한다

 

나는 무수히 봐 왔다,

죽음에서 삶으로 깨어나는 이 과정 중에,

두려움이 온다, 

때로 사람들은 낡은 개념, 생각에 심하게 집착한다

그대의 최악의 것이 나타난다

 

그리고 그들은 그것들을 최상의 의식에게 다시 돌려주기 보다는 붙든다

붙들고, 나에게서 또한 돌아서곤 한다

그들 자신은 실패했으므로, 최소한 지금은

 

and i've seen it perhaps more than many people would see it,

because they hold onto the ego,

and ego feel threatened by a clear voice, it feels threatened,

and it starts to misinterpret

and so you'll find that, although these things you may come to see,

if you're walking on a more slow path,  you need this type of delusion- every now and again,

but because of the explosiveness of satsang, of the power, the potency of it,

you're going to find sometimes even your own mind, fear will come,

you will doubt what i say, you will doubt the sangha,

you'll doubt the message, it'll come,

but that cloud will pass and then you'll feel your life again

 

그리고 나는 아마도, 많은 사람들이 보았을 것인 것보다 더 많이 봐 왔을 것이다

 

그들은 에고를 붙든다

그리고 에고는 명확한 목소리에 위협을 느낀다

그리고 잘못 해석하기 시작한다

이러한 것들을 그대가 볼 수 있다 해도, 

그대가 보다 천천히 가는 길을 걸어가고 있다면, 

그대에게는 이런 환영이 필요하다- 때로

 

하지만 사트상이 폭로하는 힘, 사트상의 힘 때문에

때로는 그대 자신의 마음조차,

 

두려움이 나타날 것이다

내가 말하는 것을 의심할 것이다, sangha 를 의심할 것이다

메시지를 의심할 것이다

그러한 것이 나타날 것이다

 

하지만 구름은 지나갈 것이다, 그러고나면 그대는 다시 그대의 삶을 느낄 것이다

 

so this is why say, walking up to the truth will bring out the best and the worst in you,

you understand this?

don't expect you're gonna just have this hollywood- transcendental awakening.

it is going to squeeze, every place that will hurt, will get squeezed,

but i want you to take courage in this

don't be afraid, don't turn down your chance.

none of you really came here by just mental decision alone.

some urge from the greater conscousness brought you here

 

이래서 말하는 것이다,

진리에 깨어나는 것은 그대 안에서 최고의 것과 최악의 것을 불러올 것이다

 

이것을 이해하는가

 

그저 그대에게 헐리우드의 마법과 같은 깨어남이 있을 뿐이라 기대하지 마라

 

압박할 것이다, 모든 곳이 아프게 할 것이다, 압박감을 느낄 것이다

하지만 나는 그대가 이것에서 용기를 취할 것을 원한다

두려워하지 마라, 그대의 기회를 거절하지 마라

 

그대들 중 아무도 정말은 단지 정신적인 결정만으로 여기에 오지 않았다

보다 큰 의식에서의 어떤 열망이 그대를 이 곳으로 데려왔다

 

and i know why, to bring you here for a chance of really awakening from a life

which is really sleeping into a life which is totally awakening-

and you have seen through the season.

some left because their mind came up so strong in resistance,

they couldn't hear what we're saying.

 

그리고 나는 왜 인지 안다,

그대를 여기에 데려온 것은, 정말 잠을 자고 있는 삶에서, 완전히 깨어나는 삶으로,

정말 깨어나는 기회 때문이다

 

그리고 그대는 사트상의 시즌을 봐 왔다

어떤 이들은 그들의 마음이 저항 속에서 너무 강하게 나타나므로 떠났다

우리가 말하는 것을 들을 수 없었다

 

sometimes you, yourself passed through that stage already,

a stage of weakness, a stage of doubt, stage of fear, a stage of strong ego and arrogance,

but those clouds have passed and you're still here.

so you stay with what i've shared with you,

because i cannot look at you, i feel, you are lost, not in my heart.

i just have to tell you,

don't give into the psychological play of your ego mind,

this is the only thing apart form this.

 

그대 자신은 이미 이런 단계를 통과했을 수 있다

나약한 단계, 의심의 단계, 두려움의 단계, 강한 에고와 거만함의 단계,

하지만 그런 구름들은 지나갔고, 그대는 여전히 여기에 있다

 

그러니 그대는 내가 그대와 나눈 것과 머물러라

 

나는 나의 가슴 안에서는, 그대가 길을 잃었다 고 느낄 수 없다, 그렇게 바라볼 수 없다

 

나는 그대에게 말하고 싶다,

심리적 에고 마음의 놀이에 내어주지 마라

이것이 이것으로부터 분리되는 유일한 것이다

 

you have no natural enemy in the whole world

you must overcome this one,

the entity that lives in the mind, that we have been so long identified as ourselves,

this is the false self, ego is the false self.

don't believe that ego has to be shouting arrotantly,

ego come in a very nice way too, can come in many ways,

and don't allow anyone to pull you down into the state of the hatred,

into states of doubt, into states of resisting what is true.

you're becoming more and more able to discover and diescern for yourself

 

온 세상에서 그대에게 본래의 적이란 없다

그대는 이것을 극복해야 한다

마음에 살고 있는 존재, 우리 자신이라 오랫동안 동일시해 온 것,

이것은 거짓된 자신이다

에고는 거짓된 자신이다

 

에고가 거만하게 소리질러야 한다고 믿지 마라

에고는 아주 좋은 식으로도 온다, 무수한 방식으로 나타날 수 있다

그리고 어느 누구도 그대를 증오의 상태로 끌어가게 허용하지 마라

의심의 상태로, 진짜인 것에 저항하는 상태로

 

그대는 점점 더 그대 혼자서, 발견하고 분볗할 수 있게 된다
