오로지 본질만 있는, 온갖 마음의 다듬기는 벗겨진

 

정말로 배고픈 이들은,

음식이 글루텐이 없는지, 구워졌는지 묻지 않는다

그들은 낭비할 시간 없는 지점에 이르렀다, 단지 먹고 싶을 뿐이다, 살아야 한다

 

그래서 진지하게 진리를 구하는 자, 그들은 그들이 얼마나 배고픈지 알 수 없을 수도 있다

하지만 음식이 그들의 혀에 닿는 순간, 알아차리기 시작한다,

먹어야 한다, 가능한 많이

 

그리고 어느 때, 오로지 절박함이 그대를 그런 정도로 데려갈 수 있다,

오로지 본질만 있는, 

온갖 마음의 다듬기는 벗겨진

 

so such a one, i'm very very open to meet

 

그런 자를 만나는 것에, 나는 아주 아주 열려 있다

what makes it so powerful and gracious,

one who's mind is hungry,

either in the way of seeing the trap of mind, and wishing to go beyond it

or one who clearly sees that the self is their only chance, waking up is their only chance

and the rest is just sleeping

 

아주 강력하고 은혜롭게 만드는 것은,

마음이 배고픈 자

 

마음의 속임수를 보고, 그것에서 벗어나기를 바라든,

혹은 '자신' 이 그들의 유일한 기회, 깨어남이 그들의 유일한 기회라는 것을 명확히 보는 자

 

그리고 나머지는 그냥 잠자고 있다

 

sleeping means, they're content with even flow of life,

which the dynamic activity of life, whatever it is

but the way that is experienced is determined by the strength of their identification as a person,

living and experiencing a world,

not realizing that the way that they experience the world is shaped by the quality of their being,

and who they take themselves to be

 

잠잔다 란, 

그들은 삶의 일정한 흐름에 만족한다,

역동적 삶의 활동에, 그것이 무엇이든

 

하지만 경험되는 방식은

제한된 인식으로서의 그들의 동일시의 강도에 의해 결정된다

세상을 살고 경험하면서,

그들이 세상을 경험하는 방식은 그들 존재의 특질에 의해,

so what we are seeing is a reflection of your own internal state

but it appears as though the phenomenal universe is being perceived factually

하지만 그것이 현상적인 우주처럼 나타나 보인다, 사실로 인식된다

 

 

 

what is teaching if there's no student?

totally valueless

what are students without teacher or true teaching?

pointless

two must come together

the urge and the way must come together

then only like this, ignorance can be removed

ignorance is removed, truth is uncovered

 

학생이 없다면 가르침이 뭔가

완전히 쓸모 없다

스승이 없거나 진짜 가르침이 없다면 학생이 무언가

의미 없다

둘이 모여야 한다

열망과 길이 모여야 한다

이런 식으로만, 무지가 제거될 수 있다

무지가 제거되면, 진리가 드러난다

 

you may call truth god, pure reality, purity of being, the end of suffering

so i don't want to get into what it is and what it is not

because the one who is hungry don't have time to hear adversaries about truth

they'll try anything as long as it works

they try anything means, life has brought them to a certain qualification within themselves,

the urge in them will bring truth opportunity to them

 

진리를 신, 순수 실재, 존재의 순수, 고통의 끝이라 부를 수 있다

난 무엇이 그것이고, 무엇이 아닌지 로 들어서고 싶지 않다

왜냐하면 배고픈 자는 진리에 반대되는 것들을 들을 시간이 없다

그들은 효과 있는 것은 어느 것이든 시도할 것이다

어느 것이든 시도한다 란,

삶이 그들 안에 어떤 자질를 가져다 준다는 뜻이다

그들 안의 열망이 그들에게 진리의 기회를 가져다 줄 것이다

 

those who are not likely to be people who procristrate or are attracted to knowledge

they may not be interested in knowledge

maybe initially they want to find out,

but at a certain point, 

someone who is hungry in not interested in menus

not interested in cook books, kitchen,

just want to eat

 

그들은, 지연하거나 앎에 끌리는 사람들과 같지 않다

아는 것에 관심 없을 것이다

아마 처음에는, 발견하고 싶어한다

하지만 어느 지점에서,

 

배고픈 자는 메뉴에 관심 없다

요리책, 주방에 관심 없다

그저 먹고 싶을 뿐이다

 

those who is really hungry don't ask whether the food is gluten free, is it roasted baked boiled or fried

they've come to that point which is, no time to waste, i just want to eat, i need to live

so the earnest seeker of truth, they may even not know how hungry they are

but the minute the food touch their tongue, they start to realize,

i have to eat as much as i can

 

정말로 배고픈 이들은,

the rest is, where is the food?

show me the hungry person, i'll give you the food

come hungry, and food will be here

actually the hungry one is not just wanting food, they want to get rid of the hunger

they're not interested in color of food, arrangement of food, plate and fork and knife,

tissues, beautiful table, nice atmosphere

they just need to eat

 

나머지는,

음식은 어디에 있는가

 

내게 굶주린 자를 보여달라, 내가 그대에게 음식을 주겠다

배고파라, 그러면 음식이 있을 것이다

사실 배고픈 자는 단지 음식을 원할 뿐이 아니다, 그들은 배고픔을 제거하고 싶어한다

음식의 색, 배열, 접시, 포크, 나이프, 티슈, 아름다운 테이블, 좋은 분위기에 관심 없다

먹어야 할 뿐이다

 

and some time only desperateness can bring you to that level

where only the essence, stripped of all the trimmings of the mind

 

그리고 어느 때, 오로지 절박함이 그대를 그런 정도로 데려갈 수 있다,
