같은 본래의 공간이 감옥 방을 채우거나, 성당을 채우고 있다

그렇게 많은 고통이 있는 것은

우리 세상 문명이 상대적으로 원시적이다

인간의 진화는 상대적으로 초기 단계에 있다

분리감에 의해 지배되는

---

 

one who has recognized his true nature,

doesn't see ignorant people anywhere

just one beautiful pristine consciousness shining through all finite minds,

and behaving in a way that is consistent with the limitations of each of those minds

 

자신의 진짜 본성을 알아차린 이는

무지한 사람들을 어디에서도 보지 못한다

단지 하나의 아름다운 본래의 의식이, 

제한되어 있는 모든 마음들을 통해 빛난다

그런 마음들마다의 제한들과 일치하는 방식으로 행동하는 것을

 

so in some peple,

that beautiful conscousness is filtered through a deep sense of separation,

and their behavior is very cruel and unkind

because the sense of separation through which consciousness is filtered

 

그래서 어떤 사람들에게서는,

그 아름다운 의식이 심한 분리감을 거쳐,

그들의 행동이 아주 잔인하고 불친절하다

분리감을 필터로 거친 의식이므로

 

and another finite mind that is transparent,

their behavior, their thoughts, and so on

is consistent with the love and understanding

that is the nature of their being

 

투명한, 다른 제한된 마음,

그들의 행동, 생각, 등등 은

그들 본래의 본성인 사랑과 이해와 일치되어 있다

 

so you can discern between different types of behavior

but you see the same being behind each of those behaviors

you don't see a lot of individuals that need to be enlightened

 

그렇게 다양한 타입의 행동들을 구분할 수 있다

하지만 그 행동들 뒤 같은 존재를 본다

깨달음이 필요한, 수많은 개인들로 보지 않는다

 

you don't feel you are the great savior

that's gonna come along and enlighten all these people

that would be extremely arrogant

 

그대는 그대가 나타나서,

이런 모든 사람들을 깨우쳐 줄 위대한 구원자로 느끼지 않느다

그것은 극도로 거만한 것일 것이다

 

 

"do you see suffering?"  "당신은 고통을 보는가"

 

yes i see people suffering

 

그렇다 난 사람들이 고통을 겪는 것을 본다

 

there's so much suffering because of

tour world civilization is relatively primitive

human evolution is at a relatively primitive stage

it's dominated by the sense of separation

 

그렇게 많은 고통이 있는 것은

우리 세상 문명이 상대적으로 원시적이다

인간의 진화는 상대적으로 초기 단계에 있다

분리감에 의해 지배되는

 

one consciousness that is flowing through the finite mind,

throwing through the filter of the belief in separation,

and expressing itself in ways that are consistent with that sense of separation

 

하나의 의식이

제한된 마음을 통해 흘러든다,

분리에의 믿음이란 필터를 통해

그리고 그 자신을, 분리감과 일치하는 방식들로 표현한다

 

that same pristine space that occupies a prison cell or a cathedral 

in one, the space seems so dark and dump and cold and small and dirty,

and another it appears to be large and spacious and luminous and empty

but it's the same space

 

같은 본래의 공간이

감옥 방을 채우거나, 성당을 채우고 있다

하나 안에서, 

아주 어둡고, 축축하고 춥고 작고 더러운 것 같아 보이는 공간,

그리고 크고 넓고, 빛나고 비어 있는 것으로 보이는 공간

하지만 같은 공간이다
