의식의 관점에서는, 애초에 의식이 시작한 적 없다

보이기에, 분리되어 있는 자신 혹은 에고 는

무한한 깨어 있는 존재가(의식이), 경험의 내용과 섞여 있는 것이다

이 섞여 있는 것이,

일시적이고 유한한, 분리되어 있는 자신으로 보이는 것을 만들어낸다

 

우주에 진짜 제한되어 있는 물리적 공간은 없는 것과 마찬가지다

단지 하나의 광대한 공간이 있다

보이기에, 분리되어 개별적 공간들로 보인다,

하지만 정말로는 그렇지 않다

그래서 진짜 분리되어 있는 자신들이나 존재들이란 없다

so for pure consciousness, there is no states

states of mind are only such from the point of view of the mind

from consciousness's point of view, which is the real point of view,

that's just itself, and it never ceases to be itself

or becomes anything other than itself

just as the screen never becomes the movie or a document or an email

 

순수 의식에게, 상태란 없다

마음의 상태는, 마음의 관점에서 그럴 뿐이다

의식의 관점에서는, 진짜 관점인 것에서는,

그냥 그 자신이다

그리고 그 자신이기를 멈추지 않는다

혹은 그 자신 외 다른 것이 되지 않는다

 

화면이, 영화나 문서, 이메일이 되지 않는 것과 마찬가지다

 

it's only from the point of view of the finite mind

that consciousness is somtimes obscure, sometimes concealed, sometimes revealed

so the finite mind begins and ends only from the point of view of the finite mind

from consciousness's point of view, it never began in the first place

 

유한한 마음의 관점에서만

의식이 때때로 가려진다

때로는 감추어지고, 때로는 드러난다

 

그래서 유한한 마음이 시작되고, 끝난다는 것은

유한한 마음에서의 관점이다

의식의 관점에서는, 애초에 의식이 시작한 적 없다

 

so there is one boundless, infinite aware being

which completely fills and pervades each of us

indeed, it is that from which we derive our sense of our self

but it is not contained within,

limited to or generated by an individual body mind

 

그래서 하나의 경계 없는, 무한한, 깨어 있는 존재

그것이 우리 각자를 완전히 채우고 있다, 퍼져 있다

사실 우리는 그것에서 우리 자신이란 느낌을 끌어낸다

하지만 그것은 안에 가두어져 있지 않다,

한 개인의 몸 마음에 제한되어 있거나, 한 개인의 몸 마음에 의해 만들어지지 않는다

 

so apparently separate self or ego is

infinite aware being mixed with the content of experience

and this mixture creates an apparently temporary finite separate self

just as there are no real limited physical spaces in the universe

there's just one vast space seemingly separated into individual spaces,

but never really so

so there are no real separate selves or entities
