우리가 인식하는 세상은

이 몸은, 그대가 그것을 인식하지 않을 때에도

그대가 그것을 인식하는 그 식대로 존재한다 는

 

이 믿음은, 수십 년 간의 비이원적 가르침보다 오래 살아 남아 있다

 

세상이 인식되고 있지 않을 때,

인식될 때 있어 보이는 세상으로 있다고 하는 것이

 

그것이 너무 박혀 있다

i think it's because of a deep conditioning that we all share

that this body exists as you perceive it when you're not perceiving it

this belief outlives decades of non-dual teaching

the belief that when the world is not being perceived,

it's still there in the way it seems to be there when it is being perceived

it's so ingraied

 

우리 모두가 공유하는, 깊은 조건화 때문이라 생각한다,

이 몸은, 그대가 그것을 인식하지 않을 때,

그대가 그것을 인식하는 그 식대로 존재한다 는

 

이 믿음은, 수십 년 간의 비이원적 가르침보다 오래 살아 남아 있다

 

세상이 인식되고 있지 않을 때,

인식될 때 있는 세상으로 보이는 방식대로 여전히 있다 는

 

그것이 너무 박혀 있다

 

it's like saying the snow is orange,

even when we're not wearing orange glasses

because we only ever see the snow through orange glasses

they are glasses of perception

so the snow is always orange when anybody perceives it

because everybody is wearing orange tinted glasses

 

우리가 오렌지 색 안경을 쓰고 있지 않을 때에도

눈이 오렌지 색이라 하는 것과 같다,

우리는 오로지 오렌지 색 안경을 통해 눈을 볼 뿐이므로

인식의 안경을 말한다

그래서 눈은, 어느 누가 인식할 때에도 오렌지 색이다

모두가 오렌지 색 안경을 쓰고 있기 때문에

 

and therefore we are convinced

when nobody is present to veiw the snow through orange tinted glasses,

it's still orange

it's not it's white

but this really confronts our deepest conditioning

 

그래서 우리는 확신한다

아무도 오렌지 색 안경을 통해 눈을 보고 있지 않을 때에도,

눈은 오렌지 색이라고

 

아니다, 하얀 색이다

하지만 이건 정말로 우리의 깊은 조건화에 맞선다

 

that the world is a physical world

that it exists as it appears to exist, when it is not being perceived

i'm not saying that our perception creates the reality of the world

the reality of the world is prior to its being perceived

i'm suggesting that our perception creates the appearance of the world

 

세상은 물리적 세상이다,

인식되지 않을 때에도, 존재하는 그 식으로 존재한다 라는 조건화

 

난 우리 인식이 세상의 실체를 만들어낸다 라 하고 있지 않다

세상의 실체는, 그것이 인식되기 전 있다

난 우리 인식이, 세상이 그래 보이는 모습을 만들어낸다 라 하고 있다
