인간 존재들이 의식하지 않는다

개, 고양이, 벼룩, 물고기, ............ 들이 의식하지 않는다

오로지 의식이 의식한다

'everything is conscious',

i think it is a profound misunderstanding

panpsychism, when a materialist, someone who believes that

matter is the fundamental nature of reality,

tries to accommidate 'the consciousness only model',

without giving up their materialist belief

they add consicousness to matter

and they say that matter is fundamentally consciousness

난 그것이 깊은 오해라 생각한다

범신론,

물질이 실체의 근본 본성이라 믿는 물질주의자가

'의식만이 있다' 모델을

그들은 물질에 의식을 추가한다

it's a complete misunderstanding

human beings are not consicous

dogs, cats, fleas, fishes, -------- are not conscious

only consicousness is conscious

 

완전히 오해다

so panpsychism is a cutting edge of consciousness studies

in our materialist culture

and it's philosophy of mind has gone off in a wrong, taken a wrong term

 

그래서 범신론은

우리 유물론적 문화에서의, 의식 연구의 최첨단이다

마음이 잘못된 조건을 잡아든 철학이다

 

whatever kind of mind may be,

the nature of mind must be consicousness

you can't have a mind without consciousness

what would mind without consciousness be?

 

마음이 무슨 종류의 마음이든

마음의 본성은 의식이다

의식 없는 마음이 있을 수 없다

의식 없이 마음이 무엇일 수 있을까

there is no such thing as a glass that is consciousness

only consciousness is conscious

 

유리는 유리로서 의식이 아니다

everything that appears in consciousness is made of consciousness,

but that doesn't imply that

everything that appears in consciousness is conscious

that's a big mistake

 

그렇다, 오로지 의식이 의식한다

하지만

 

모든 것이 의식에 나타나 보인다

의식에 나타나 보이는 모든 것은 의식으로 만들어졌다

하지만 그것이

의식에 나타나 보이는 모든 것이 의식한다라는 뜻은 아니다

그것이 큰 실수다

 

so the first, whatever it was that appeared in the first millionth of a second

of big bang, 

it appeared in consciousness, it's made of consciousness,

but i would suggest it was not conscious

 

그래서 최초, 최초 백만 분의 일로 나타나 보인 빅뱅, 그것이 무엇이든,

의식에 나타나 보인 것이고, 의식으로 만들어졌다

하지만 난 그것이 의식하는 것은 아니라 한다
