그대가 무한한 의식이라면, 고작 인간인 것으로 끝내겠는가

그래서 중세 그런 그림들을 보면

천사들의 그림,

그것들은 단지 상상한 것들이 아니다

 

그런 그림들은

합리적 마음이 지금 만큼 인간의 마음을 지배하지 않는 기간에 나타난 것들로,

사람들이 마음이 보다 확장되어 있고, 

지금의 직선상 마음보다 덜 직선상이고,

우리가 지금 보지 못할 것들을 볼 수 있도록 열려 있었다

 

물론 그들의 단련과 헌신 때문이기도 하다

기독교 전통에서의 그들의 마음 단련,

아마도 이런 확장된 마음들이,

다른 종류의 마음 에너지들을 볼 수 있었을 것이다

 

왜 안 되겠는가

무한한 의식을 생각해봐라

그 아주 복잡한 마음이 4차원의 인간이 될 수 있는데,

그대가 무한한 의식이라면, 고작 그것으로 끝내겠는가

imagine that there was an alien,

because it consider the possibilities that that's exactly what aliens are

they're different kinds of minds,

perceived in a different way

they don't have the same sense of time

so space travel is to them, it's just you think of being a place, you can be there

they don't have the same limitations of time and sapce that we do

however it's possible that this alien mind can be registered by our minds,

our minds are perceiving faculties,

when it looks at the aline minds, when it comes across it,

it's possible that it would appear in our world in a way

that was consistent with our sense perception

so it might look like a strange object in the sky

just becasue this alien mind would appear to our mind

our mind would capture a fraction of what that mind was

our mind then interpret this strange object in the sky

as some other race from different planet

that would be our mind's trying to interpret

what it saw in a way that was consistent with its own belief,

the time and space is absolute and so on

it's from a different dimension

their dimension intersects our four dimensions,

an angel again is just a different kind of mind

that under normal circumstances,

our impoverished perceiving faculties are not able to register

however, as a result of meditation or contemplation or psychidelic substances or

if the configuration of our mind is temporarily altered 

and therefore expanded,

our mind may temporarily have the capacity to register this other kind of mind

that it is not able to do so under normal circumstances

and it has a vision of an angel

it's not real angel with gold halo and wings,

that's just the way that this other kind of mind is represented

in the language of our sense perception

금빛 후광와 날개를 가진 진짜 천사가 아니다

다른 종류의 마음이,

우리의 감각 인식의 언어로 나타난 방식이다

 

so when in those medieval paintings,

we see paintings of angels,

they're not just fanciful creatures

these come from period when rational mind don't dominate the human mind

so to the extent that it does now

so people's minds were more expanded, less linear,

were open to see things that perhaps we are not

also because of their pratice and devotion,

because they're training their minds in the christian tradition

maybe these expaned minds were capable of seeing,

this another kind of mind energies

think of the infinite consciousness

what are the changes of its most sophiscated mind being a human mind in four dimensions
