우리가 살고 있는 세상, 물질 모델

물질이 우주의 근본 실체,

그리고 모든 것이 그것의 변형이라는 이 생각,

우리가 살고 있는 세상이다

 

물질 모델에서,

모든 것이 물질로 결론나고,

물질에서 나오는 것이고,

마음과 의식조차 물질에서 나온다고 하는 것처럼

 

의식이 근본 실체고, 모든 것이 의식이 변형된 모습이라는

또 다른 가능성을 생각해보자

하지만 그것이 있는 유일한 것이라는 것을

 

그것이 우리 경험과 더 일치된다

물질 모델보다

그리고 그것이 물질 모델보다

우주의 본성과 우리 경험의 본성에 관한 많은 질문들에 답할 수 있다

a human mind is a slightly more complex condensation, localization of consciousness

and before there were any localization of consciousness,

there may just have been vibrations in consciousness

but there was no localized mind to perceive them as a world

so there still may have been vibrations in consciousness,

but it's not until a localized mind appear in consciousness

that those vibrations appear as the universe

 

인간의 마음은,

의식이

좀 복잡하게 응측된 것이다

 

의식이 졸아들기 이전,

의식에 진동이 있었을 것이다

하지만 그것을 세상으로 볼, 응축된 마음이 없었다

 

의식에 진동들이 있었을 것이지만,

응축된 마음이 의식에 나타날 때까지는

그 진동들이 우주로 보이지 않았을 것이다

 

everything is a vibration of consicousness

just consider the possibility instead of thinking that matter is the fundamental reality,

the universe, and everything is a modification of matter,

including the mind and consicousness

that's the materialistic point of view

that mind and consciousness evolve out of matter

 

모든 것이 의식의 진동이다

 

'물질이 근본 실체, 우주,

마음과 의식을 포함하여 모든 것이 물질이 변형된 모습'이라는 것 대신

다른 가능성을 생각해보자

그것이 유물론적 관점이다

마음과 의식이 물질에서 진화하는 것이라는 것이

 

this idea that matter is the fundamental reality of the universe,

and everything is a modification of that

that this is our world that we live in

put that model on one side

just consider another possibility that consciousness is

the fundamental reality of the universe

the consciousness is the primary stuff, not matter, consciousness

 

물질이 우주의 근본 실체,

그리고 모든 것이 그것의 변형이라는 이 생각,

우리가 살고 있는 세상이다

 

그 모델을 한쪽으로 치워두고

다른 가능성을 생각해보자

의식이 우주의 근본 실체라고

의식이 본래의 재료, 물질이 아니라, 의식이

 

and just as in the matter model, 

everything can be reduced to matter

and is seen to emate from it, even mind and consciousness,

consider another possibility that consciousness is the fundamental reality,

and everything is a modulation of that

but that that's the only stuff that is really there

 

물질 모델에서,

모든 것이 물질로 결론나고,

물질에서 나오는 것이고,

마음과 의식조차 물질에서 나온다고 하는 것처럼

 

의식이 근본 실체고, 모든 것이 의식이 변형된 모습이라는

it's more consistent with our experience than is the matter model

and it can also answer a lot more questions about the nature of the universe

and the nature of our experience than can the matter model
