영적 성장이란

시간의 중요성이,

그대의 의식에서 점차 감소하는 것이다

 

하지만 

그대의 의식 상태가 완전히 시간의 지배를 받고 있다

그대가 누구인가가

그대를 지금 순간으로 데려온 그 모든 것들,

그대 마음의 특정 기억, 이야기들로 정의된다

이런 것들이 그대의

자기 정체성,

역사가 있는 자신이다

사람들은 그것을 '나의 삶'이라 한다

time at first is a wonderful thing

because it gives you lots of things

until you reach a certain age

and from being your friend

suddenly time is no longer your friend but your enemy

and you begin to realize that time is out to kill you

 

시간은 처음에는 멋진 것이다

그대에게 많은 것들을 내준다

 

특정 나이에 이를 때까지는

 

그리고 그대의 친구인 것에서,

갑자기 더는 그대의 친구가 아니라 적이다

그대가 깨닫기 시작한다,

시간은 이제 그대를 죽이기 위해 있다

을 알아차리는 데 가장 큰 장애는

시간이다

 

시간이 멈추지 않는다

그대가 벗어날 수 없다

시간이 내내 그대를 끌고 다닌다

 

but spiritual growth means that gradually the importance of time diminishes in your consciousness

but important thing is

your state of consciousness is totally dominated by time

your sense of who you are is derived from certain memories, narratives in your mind

about all the things that has brought you to this present moment

all these things provide you with a sense of identity, the historical self

people call it my life
