잠을 잘 못자고, 밤새 깨어있던 것으로 느낀 적 있는가

하지만 사실 아침에 시간을 보면, 못 잔 게 아니다

밤새 깨어있던 게 아니다

잠을 잤다

하지만 밤새 깨어있던 느낌이다

 

have you ever experienced of feeling that you had slept badly

that you were awake all night,

but actually when you look at your clock in the morning,

you realize that actually you didn't sleep badly

you weren't awake all night

you had slep, but you had this feeling,

but i felt that i was awke all night

have you ever had that feeling?

 

그런 느낌 경험한 적 있는가

 

it's the darkness of deep sleep

this is my experience, the darkness of deep sleep gradually diminishes

the darkness of deep sleep begins to leave

 

그것이 깊은 잠의 어둠이다

이건 나의 경험이다,

깊은 잠의 어둠은 점차 줄어든다

 

the reason why deep sleep feels dark is

because object knowing mind superimposes onto deep sleep

the waking state mind is convinced that deep sleep is a state of darkness

the absence of the light of awareness that illuminate experience,

the mind actually superimposes that belief onto our experience

so that we think we actually experience the absence of awareness

 

왜 깊은 잠이 어둡게 느껴지는가

대상을 아는 마음은,

(대상을 아는 것이 아닌) 깊은 잠에 덧붙인다

깊은 잠이 어둠의 상태라고 

우리 경험을 비추는, 깨어있음의 빛이 없다고

그 믿음을 마음은 우리 경험에 첨가한다

우리는 깨어있지 않은 것으로 경험한다

 

that's a good example of how a belief can condition what we feel

and make us feel we're actually experiencing something that we're not

that's how powerful beliefs are

 

믿음이, 우리가 어떻게 느끼는지를 정하는 좋은 예시다

우리가 아닌 것을 우리인 것처럼 경험하게 한다

믿음이 그렇게 강력하다
