존재는 본질적으로 자유롭다

전혀 집착되어 있지 않다

그래서 우리가 집착 없음을 연습해야 할 필요 없다

그냥 집착되어 있지 않은,

존재의 본성을 명확히 봐야 할 뿐이다

 

다른 말로 하면, 존재의 자유로운 본성

그것은 그것이 집착하는 것들로부터 자유로워져야 할 필요 없다

본래 자유롭다

all you'll lose is your sorrow and agitation

you keep everything else

you experience of the world, your love of the world, 

your friendships, your activities,

all of that remains

those are all the garments that you wear

you keep wearing them

you don't have to get rid of them

 

그대가 잃을 것은

그대의 슬픔과 불안이다

 

그 밖에 모든 것은 계속 갖고 있게 된다

세상을 경험하고, 세상에 대한 그대의 사랑, 우정, 활동,

you just have to see that they're not essentially who you are

you never mistake your clothes for your body

but you keep wearing your clothes

so you can still feel that you're clothed in experience

what's important to recognize is

none of your experience that you clothed in, are who you really are

 

단지 그것들이 본질적 그대가 아니라는 것은 봐야 한다

그대의 옷과 몸을 착각하지 않는다

till you recognize i am just naked being

unqualified, unconditioned, uncolored by experience

inherently peaceful, fulfilled and so on

but then you clothe yourself again in experience,

you go back to the world

but you still remain in touch with your naked being in the midst of experience,

not just in absence

그대의 벌거벗은 존재와는 계속 닿아서

our being is the same

it's completely unattached

therefore we don't have to practice detachment

we just have to see clearly the inherently unattached nature of being

in other words, the free nature of being

it doesn't need to be freed from its attachments

it's inherently free

 

우리 존재도 같다

전혀 집착되어 있지 않다

그래서 우리가 집착 없음을 연습해야 할 필요 없다

그냥 본래 집착되어 있지 않은, 존재의 본성을 명확히 봐야 할 뿐
