사실은 지금인가 나중인가

/you also are the one. why don't you understand? 

you are the unchanging self, the same within everyone/

 

/그대 또한 하나이다, 왜 이해하지 못하는가

그대는 변하지 않는 자신, 모두의 안에 있는 같은 자/

 

we all feel very different individuality

we say even each petal on this rose is unique, each person is unique

but the sage is saying-

ingoring the superficial expressions, the expressions vary but the reality is one

so this is the only place the sage can speak from, to speak like this

if you go to the mind, it scatters

if you go to consciousness, here alone exists, the substratum you may say

 

우리 모두가 아주 다른 개별성을 느낀다

이 장미 꽃잎은 각각 다르다, 각 사람이 다르다

하지만 현자는 말한다-

표면적인 표현들을 무시하는 것

표현들은 다양하다, 하지만 실재는 하나이다

 

그래서 이것은 현자가 말할 수 있는 자리일 수 있을 뿐이다

이렇게 말하는 것은

그대가 마음으로 간다면, 그것은 흐트러진다

그대가 의식으로 간다면, 여기만이 존재한다, 토대 라고 할 수도 있겠다

 

/you are truly illimitable. you are the all pervading light/

 

/그대는 진실로 한계가 없다

그대는 모든 곳에 있는 빛이다/

 

who is he referring to? whoever is hearing this

he's speaking to us

 

그는 누구에게 말하고 있는가

이것을 듣는 누구에게라도

그는 우리에게 말하고 있다

 

/for you, how can there be any distinction between the night and the day/

 

/그대에게, 어떻게 밤과 낮의 차이가 있을 수 있는가/

 

distinctions come from where? from the mind

 

차이는 어디에서 오는가, 마음에서 온다

 

/understand that the self is continuous being, the one wihin all without any division

the i is both the subject and the supreme object of meditation

how can you see two in that? which is only one/

 

/자신 은 계속되는 존재, 어떤 구분도 없이 모두 안에 존재하는 하나 라는 것을 이해해라

나 는 주체이자, 명상의 최상의 대상이다

어떻게 그대가 그 안에서 둘을 볼 수 있겠는가

하나뿐인 것을/

 

somehow we are in the process, if not comepleted

whereby we can verify this as our direct experience

why hears? is it for entertainment? no, he's speaking to the seeker of truth

whose karma, you may say has brought them to satsang, why, to hear this

and by contemplation to verify as one's own irrefutable direct experience also

 

어떻든 우리는 과정 중에 있다, 완결되지 않았다면

그래서 우리는 이것을 우리의 직접 경험으로 입증할 수 있다

 

왜 듣는가? 그저 재미를 위해? 아니다, 그는 진리를 찾는 자에게 말하고 있다

그들의 karma 라 할 수도 있는 것이, 그들을 사트상에 데려왔다

so we may feel, 'oh i've got a lot things to do, i have to verify all of this, what can i do-'

remember that from where the waking state itself is perceived, the sense of individuatlity is perceived

the breath, the vital force is also perceived

the names and forms appearing also perceived

the functioning of perception is also perceived

the sense of being of existing is also perceived

by what are they perceived?

can that itself be perceived?

contemplate it

 

우리는, '아 할 것이 너무 많다. 이 모든 것을 입증해야 하다니. 내가 뭘 해야 한담-' 

으로 느껴질 수도 있다

 

나는, 어떤 것을 해라 라 말해야 할까, 아무것도 하지 마라 라 해야 할까

둘 다 아니다

어디에서, 깨어있는 상태 그 자체가 인식되는지, 개별성의 느낌이 어디에서 인식되는지를 떠올려라

 

호흡, 생명력 또한 인식된다

이름과 나타나 보이는 형상들 또한 인식된다

인식 작용 또한 인식된다

존재하는 있는 느낌 또한 인식된다

 

무엇에 의해 인식되는가

그것 자체는 인식될 수 있는가

그것을 숙고해라

 

whatever can be the evidence of the senses or the mind, is also percieved

all froms, even the most subtle, subtler than atoms, if they manifest, if they have form and appear in time,

they are also perceived

both their presne and absence of the perceivable, by what are they perceived?

other than you, your ture you, your personality is perceived

ego is perceived, memory is perceived, projections perceived, desire perceived, attachment perceived

silence is perceived, space is perceived

emotions are perceived, breath is perceived

life is perceived, death is perceived

knowingness is perceived, perceiving is perceived

 

감각이나 마음의 입증으로 무엇이 될 수 있든, 그것 또한 인식된다

모든 형상, 가장 미묘한 것조차, 원자보다 더 미묘한 것도,

그들이 드러난다면, 형상을 갖고 시간 안에서 나타나 보인다면,

그들 또한 인식된다

 

인식할 수 있는 것의 존재와 부재 둘 다, 무엇에 의해 그들이 인식되는가

그대 외에, 진짜 그대 외에, 그대의 개성은 인식된다

에고는 인식된다, 기억은 인식된다, 투사는 인식된다, 욕망은 인식된다, 집착은 인식된다

침묵은 인식된다, 공간은 인식된다

감정은 인식된다, 호흡은 인식된다

삶은 인식된다, 죽음은 인식된다

앎은 인식된다, 인식하는 것은 인식된다

 

what is the effect of satsang? 

transcend the duality of mind

transcending is also perceived

is the fact now or later?

 

사트상의 효과는 무엇인가

마음의 이원성을 변형시킨다

변형 또한 인식된다

 

사실은 지금인가 나중인가
