나 는 아주 단순하다, 나 에는 장식이 없다

all that you require is that for the moment you put aside any map, any instruction, any belief in what you have learned, any hope, any fear, anything that arises, just put aside

and see, who is here?

is there limit? is there bottom? is there beginning? is there end?

our meeting is about telling the truth

that's what satsang means, sat means truth

about telling the truth

about what you know, even though your mind doesn't know it

because the profound nectar of being is closer than to your mind is

and it is so simple and so vast

 

그대에게 필요한 것은, 잠시 동안,

어떤 지도, 가르침, 그대가 배운 것에의 믿음, 희망, 두려움,

떠오르는 것이 어떤 것이든,

그냥 치우는 것 뿐이다

그리고 본다, 여기에 누가 있는가

 

한계가 있는가, 바닥이 있는가, 시작이 있는가, 끝이 있는가

 

우리 만남은 사실을 말하는 것에 관한 것이다

그것이 satsang 사트상의 뜻이다, 'sat' 은 진리라는 뜻이다

사실을 말하는 것에 대한 것이다

그대가 아는 것에 대해, 그대의 마음이 그것을 모르더라도

 

왜냐하면 존재의 깊은 즙 은 그대의 마음보다 가깝다

그리고 아주 간단하고, 아주 광대하다

 

at the moment the mind tries to describe it or hold it, there's a sense of being lost,

there's a sense of being seperate, there's a sense of almost but not quite

if you recognize this and you are weary with this mind's attemps to grasp, you relax at a very deep level

i'm not speaking of  physically relaxing, is a mental relaxation where there is a crack, where the essence of you, this is here, right here right now

this is profound teaching of Ramana

when he says to be still, to be stillness that you are

and the stillness is eternal, and it is the sublime nectar of being

it's not a magic potion, it won't keep bad experiences away

but it will keep the truth shining regardless of experience

it won't keep your body from aging, in perfect health always

but it will keep the radiance and innocence and purity of your own nature, obvious regardless of the state of the body or age

it won't bring you a great riches. it won't help you win more. it won't make you queen of the world or the king of the universe,

but it will reveal that source of power which is the resting place, which no war can disrupt, which no indivisual power can touch

 

마음이 그것을 설명하려 하거나, 붙잡으려 하는 순간

잃는 느낌이 있다, 분리되어 있는 느낌이 있다, 거의 하지만 아직 아닌 느낌이 있다

그대가 이것을 이해하고, 마음이 이해하려는 시도들에 지쳤다면,

그대는 아주 깊은 단계에서 편안하다

 

나는 육체적으로 편안한 것에 대해 말하고 있지 않다, 정신적인 편안함이다,

거기에 틈이 있다,

그대의 본질, 이것이 여기에 있다, 바로 여기 바로 지금

이것이 Ramana의 깊은 가르침이다

가만 있어라 라 말한 것, 그대 인 가만있음 으로 있어라

 

그리고 그 가만있음 은 영원하다, 존재의 숭고한 즙이다

그것은 마법의 물약이 아니다, 나쁜 경험들을 제거하지 않을 것이다

하지만 경험과 상관 없이, 진리를 빛나게 할 것이다

그대의 몸이 노화되는 것을 막지 못할 것이다, 항상 완벽한 건강 상태로 유지하지 않을 것이다

하지만 그대 자신의 본성의 빛과 순수를 명백하게 할 것이다, 몸이나 나이의 상태와 상관 없이

그대에게 커다란 부유함을 가져다주지 않을 것이다, 그대가 더 얻도록 하지 않을 것이다,

그대를 세상의 여왕 혹은 우주의 왕으로 만들지 않을 것이다,

하지만 쉬는 자리인, 어떤 전쟁도 파괴할 수 없는, 어떤 개인의 힘도 닿을 수 없는, 힘의 근원을 드러낼 것이다

 

so if you are still seeking certain powers, just for our time together, put them aside

it's nothing  wrong with them but for our meeting, they're irrelevant

i don't come into your life to power you

i don't come into your life to strip your power

i come into your life to point to what has no need power, what has no fear for powerlessness,

what is closer than head, the nectar of eternal being conscious of itself, and flirting itself with joy and love of that being

i don't come into your life to teach you how to get that, or to draw another map for you to follow

i come into your life to tell the truth

and the truth is, you are already that. you have never been different from that

it has always been exactly precisely where you are

 

그래서 그대가 아직 특정한 힘을 쫓고 있다면,

그냥 우리가 함께 있는 시간 동안, 그것들을 치운다

그것들에 잘못된 것은 없다, 하지만 우리 만남에, 그것들은 관련 없다

 

나는 그대에게 힘을 주기 위해 그대 삶에 들어서지 않는다

나는 그대의 힘을 없애기 위해 그대의 삶에 들어서지 않는다

머리보다 가까운 것, 영원한 존재의 즙이 그 자신을 인식한다, 

그리고 그 자신을 그 존재의 기쁨과 사랑으로 간지럽힌다

 

나는 그대의 삶에, 그대가 어떻게 그것을 얻는지 가르치기 위해, 혹은 그대가 따를 또 다른 지도를 그리기 위해 들어서지 않는다

나는 사실을 말하기 위해 그대의 삶에 들어선다

그리고 그 사실은, 그대는 이미 그것이다, 그대는 그것과 다른 적이 없었다

언제나 바로 그것이, 정확하게 그대가 있는 곳에 있어 왔다

 

and the only reason it has appeared hidden or secret, is because you have looked for it everywhere else

and it's time to tell the truth

if you are weary of this looking

if you enjoy looking for it everywhere else, it's not a sin, it doesn't mean you're not the nectar of being because you look for everywhere else, it's not bad, it's mistake but it doesn't touch the truth of who you are

so we have a very simple task, and that task is to put aside all that complications as beautiful or as horrible as they may be

nothing wrong with the complications, they're quite entertaining

but our task, our meeting, what we have appeared to in each other's consciousness for,

is to simply absolutely eternally tell the truth about who one is, about who i am

 

그것이 숨겨지거나 비밀인 것처럼 보이는 유일한 이유는,

그대가 다른 모든 곳을 찾아왔기 때문이다

그리고 사실을 말할 때이다

그대가 이런 바라봄에 지쳤다면

 

그대가 다른 모든 곳에서 찾는 것을 즐긴다면, 그건 죄는 아니다,

그대가 다른 모든 곳을 찾기 때문에, 존재의 즙이 아니라는 뜻이 아니다

나쁜 것이 아니다

실수이다

하지만 그대가 누구인지의 사실을 건드리지 못한다

 

그래서 우리는 아주 단순한 일을 갖는다, 

그 일은 모든 복잡함을 치우는 것이다

복잡한 것들은 아름다울 수도 있고, 끔찍할 수도 있다

복잡함에 잘못된 것은 없다, 그것들은 상당한 놀꺼리다

 

하지만 우리의 일, 우리 만남, 우리가 서로의 의식 안에서 찾는 것으로 보이는 것은

단순하게, 절대적으로, 영원히, 사실을 말하는 것이다,

누구인지에 대해, 

내가 누구인지에 대해

 

the same i, the i is very simple

i has no adornment, i has no particular name, and no particular name is separate from it

so to be who you are, is radically simply absolutely effortlessly choicelessly who you are

 

다 같은 나 다, 

나 는 아주 단순하다

나 에는 장식이 없다

나 는 특정한 이름을 갖지 않는다

그리고 어떤 특정한 이름도 그것에서 분리되어 있지 않다

그래서 그대인 자로 있는 것은,

급진적으로, 단순하게, 절대적으로, 노력 없이, 선택 없이 그대이다
