그대는 단순하게 각성 그 자체로서 있을 수 있는가

i'm not even going to call it contemplation

i'm not even going to call it meditation

can you simply abide as the awareness itself?

 

나는 숙고라 하지도 않을 것이다

심지어 명상이라 하지도 않을 것이다

그대는 단순하게 각성 그 자체로서 있을 수 있는가

 

can you verify this experientially?

 

이것을 경험상 확인할 수 있는가

 

not just your committment to me but to yourself to do it

 

나에 대한 헌신인 것만이 아니라, 그렇게 하는 것은 그대 자신에 대한 헌신이다

 

and it may seem that it is the person who has accepted the exercise

who is the one who is going to make use of this exercise?

if i say, the exercise is to observe the person and its world,

and i say, the pure consciousness, it does not need to get involved in any such thing

then who is going to do it?

 

그리고 단련을 받아들이는 것은, 그 사람인 것 같아 보인다

이 단련을 활용할 자는 누구인가

 

내가, 단련은 '그 사람'과 '그 사람의 세상'을 바라보는 것이라고 한다면

그리고 나는, 순수 의식, 그것은 그런 어떤 것에도 개입될 필요 없다고 말한다

그러면 누가 연습을 할 것인가

 

the mode or the aspect of the person, which i may call a satoric person,

means that in the realm of personhood, the more evolved state of personhood, but it it still in personhood

this personhood, which is always linked to consciousness,

there cannot be any person without consciousness

there's nothing that exist independent of consciousness

 

'그 사람'이란 모습 혹은 측면,

내가 깨어난 제한된 인식이라 하는 것,

제한된 성격의 영역에서, 보다 진화된 상태의 제한된 성격이다

하지만 아직 제한된 성격 안에 있다

이 제한된 성격, 항상 의식에 연결되어 있다

의식 없이는 어떤 제한된 인식도 있을 수 없다

의식과 별개로 존재하는 것은 아무것도 없다

 

so this sense of our self as a person,

when you say i, even if you think it's a person, 

actually it comes from consciousnesss

the real truth of i is conscioiusness

 

그래서 '어떤 한 사람'으로서의 우리 자신의 느낌,

그대가 나 라고 할 때, 

그대가 그것이 제한된 인식이라고 생각할지라도

사실 그것은 의식에서 나온다

나 의 진짜 사실은 의식이다

 

satoric person, this functioning of consciousness in the mode of personhood,

but has an attraction to find its source

that is what's called the seeker of truth

can i say like this?

 

깨어난 제한된 인식, 제한된 성격의 모습으로 있는 의식의 이 기능

하지만 그것의 근원을 발견하는데 끌린다

그것이 진리를 찾는 자 라 불리는 것이다

내가 이렇게 말해도 될까

 

i know it sounds complicated, but if you catch it,

it's going to be worth thousands points

the seeking entity is deeply connected with consciousness,

but it's combined with personhood

and that's why it is not yet resting in itself naturally as untouched consciousness

 

복잡하게 들린다는 것을 안다, 하지만 그대가 그것을 잡아낸다면

무수한 가치가 있을 것이다

찾는 존재 는 의식과 깊이 연결되어 있다

하지만 제한된 성격과 결합되어 있다

그래서 그것은 아직, 닿지 않는 의식으로서, 자연스럽게 그 자신 안에서 쉬지 못한다
