커다란 두려움이 무엇인가 '나는 끝날 것이다'

 

인간의 마음은 서로 다른 것들을 본다

하지만 현자는 오로지 하나의 실재만 있다는 것을 안다

닳는 것인가

 

whatever changes, it is not this

the mind says, the unchanging must be boring

this is the game that mind will play

where mind come from? god also

in this theater of consciousness, everything can play

why is it such a strong game?

because you are the strongest still

but only when you know

 

변하는 것은 무엇이든, 이것 이 아니다

마음은, 변하지 않는 것은 지루하다 라 한다

이것은 마음이 벌이는 게임이다

마음은 어디에서 오는가, 또한 신에게서

이 의식의 영화관에서, 모든 것이 벌어질 수 있다

왜 그렇게 강한 게임인가

그럼에도 그대가 가장 강하기 때문이다

하지만 그대가 알 때에만

'it is god's grace alone which gives wise men the desire to realize non-dual brahman'

 

'현명한 이들이게 비이원적 자신 을 깨닫고 싶은 열망을 주는 것은

신의 은혜로움 뿐이다'

 

brahman means the self

 

브라흐만 이란 자신 을 뜻한다

 

'so because of this, they become free from great fear'

 

'그래서 이것으로, 그들은 커다란 두려움에서 자유롭게 된다'

 

what is the great fear?

'i'll come to an end'

 

커다란 두려움이 무엇인가

'나는 끝날 것이다'

 

'indeed everything in this universe is filled with the atman, the self'

 

'사실 이 우주의 모든 것이 아트만, 자신 으로 차 있다'

 

what is the self?

something apart from you?

if your attitude and urges are open, you may recognize

 

자신 이 무엇인가

그대와 동떨어져 있는 것?

 

그대의 태도와 열망이 열려 있다면, 그대는 알아차릴 것이다

 

'and since the atman is covered by itself'

 

'아트만은 그 자신으로 덮여 있으므로'

 

the atman feels the self, itself

 

아트만은 자신, 그 자신을 느낀다

 

'how can i worship that formless indivisible, immutable supreme'

 

'내가 어떻게, 형상 없는, 불멸의 최상의 존재를 숭배할 수 있을까'

 

i being where to worship it?

 

내가 어디에서 그것을 숭배하는가

 

'the universe consisting of the five elements, the space, air, fire, water, earth,

is like water in a mirage

ah being that one stainless atman, to whom shall i find out?'

 

'다섯 가지 원소들로 이루어지는 우주는,

공간, 공기, 불, 물, 흙 은

신기루의 물과 같다

 

아, 흠 없는 아트만 그 하나는

누구에게 발견할 것이라 할까'

 

there's the only atman

atman another name, you can call god also, truth

we have very limited word, we just say god

and it has many meaning if it is not understood, we have different gods

but there's only one

human mind see different things

but the sage know there's only one reality

 

단지 하나의 아트만이 있을 뿐이다

아트만의 또 다른 이름은 그대가 신이라고도 진리라고도 할 수 있다

우리는 아주 제한된 표현을 갖고 있다, 단지 신이라 말할 뿐이다

그리고 그것이 이해되지 않는다면, 무수한 의미를 갖는다, 서로 다른 신을 갖는다

하지만 하나가 있을 뿐이다
