바라봄의 모양은 무엇인가

mind complexify

self will for a while simplify until it's intergrated in the understanding

but don't expect so much, 'oh i have to do this, --'

we frustrate

 

마음은 복잡하게 한다

자신 은 잠시, 단순하게 할 것이다,

이해에서 통합될 때까지

하지만 너무 많이 기대하지 마라, '아 난 이것을 해야 한다, --'

좌절한다

 

i have no fight with the mind

mind is beautiful instrument of the self

but there's a time when you're looking, and you do see how mind creates seeming obstacles,

and that seeing is important that you see

so that you exercise the discernment to see, 'it's not really an obstacle because i'm the seer of it'

it cannot eclipse me

it's not even backward

it just becomes easy

 

난 마음과 싸우지 않는다

마음은 자신 의 아름다운 도구다

하지만 그대가 바라볼 때가 있다,

마음이 장애로 보이는 것들을 만들어내는 것을 본다

그리고 그 바라봄이 중요하다, 그대가 본다는 것이

그래서, '정말은 장애가 아니구나, 난 그것을 바라보므로'라 보는 분별을 단련할 수 있다,

그것은 나를 가릴 수 있는 것이 아니다

뒤쪽에 있는 나도 아니다

now i see often mind is useful for some thing, but it's utterly clumsy about a lot of things

everything has its place

you just have to know how to be in it

and it loses its significance for you

when things begin to lose their significance, you have transcended them

 

이제 나는, 마음이 어떤 것에는 유용하지만, 많은 것들에 절대 서투르다는 것을 본다

 

모든 것에 그것의 자리가 있다

if even witnessing produce the world you see

it reveals all of this

then something more subtle, 

there's awareness of even witnessing

'after that?' mind want to run there

even witnessing which is the most quintessential functioning of perception, 

is itself seen here

by what is it seen?

and whatever mind want to say, that is already an object of perception

even act of perceiving becomes now a subtle object of perception

인식 작용조차 이제 미묘한 인식 대상이 된다

 

이제 무엇이 남아 있는가

그것과 있어라, 여기에 무엇이 있는가

 

don't give it to your head

because head is desperate to carry on producing phenomenal results

but again it's another movement from the mind

 

그대의 머리에 내주지 마라

머리는 계속해서 현상의 결과들을 만들어내느라 절박하다

하지만 다시, 그건 마음으로부터의 또 다른 움직임이다

 

what is the shape of witnessing?

who is witnessing?

you say, 'i' is witnessing

this is is also witnessable

so what remain now?

 

바라봄의 모양은 무엇인가

누가 바라보는가

그대는, '나'가 바라본다고 한다

이 나 또한 바라보아질 수 있다

그래서 이제 무엇이 남는가

 

and there, perfume arising out of this is peace, joy, uneuqaled joy

it cannot be known through the function of duality

 

그리고 그곳에서,

올라오는 향기가 평화, 기쁨,

어느 것과도 견줄 수 없는 기쁨

이원성의 작용을 통해 알려질 수 없는 것이다
