그대의 존재는 하늘과 같다

 

 

하늘을 볼 수 있는가

 

내가 그대에게, 그대는 그대 자신을 볼 수 없다고 말하면,

그것에 대해 고통스러울 수도 있다

'내가 나 자신을 알아차리면, 내 얼굴이 사라져?'

그건 장애였던 적이 없다

얼굴 갖고 있어라, 누려라

understanding is a form of seeing

seeing is not necessarily visul phenomenon

even if i say, even seeing can be seen, can you draw a picture of that?

no, but did you get it? yes

don't complexify, stay in the simplicity

i can use words, but none of them stick

make use of them

your beingness is like the sky

can you see sky?

 

이해는 바라봄의 한 모습이다

바라봄은 꼭 시각적 현상만은 아니다

내가, 바라봄조차 보일 수 있다 라고 한다면,

그것에 대해 그릴 수 있는가

아니다, 하지만 이해했는가, 그렇다

 

복잡하게 하지 마라, 단순하게 머물러라

난 말을 사용한다, 하지만 들러붙는 것은 없다

말은 활용해라

그대의 존재는 하늘과 같다

하늘을 볼 수 있는가

 

you may draw a picture of clouds, beautiful moon,

when i say the sky, is the essence of the sky, is the space,

such a limitlessness

it's constant, but at the same time it's variable

so clouds will be like mind, forms, movement

and yet behind, unmoving

 

구름, 아름다운 달의 그림을 그릴 수 있다

내가 하늘이라 하는 것은, 하늘의 본질, 공간이다

너무나 한계 없는 것

변함 없는 것, 하지만 동시에 다채롭다

그래서 구름은 마음, 형상, 움직임일 것이다

그럼에도 뒤에는 움직이지 않는 것이

 

so when you've understood you have been living like cloud,

but when you realize, 'i'm the sky'

now clouds are hiding the skyness?

actually nothing sticks in this way, and you see from the place of beingness

diversities are not sin

even the play of good and evil, right and wrong, there is a meaning to it

a way in which the manifestation can be refined

and the highest refinement is understanding

that removes certain concepts, dissolve certain concepts that brings so much pain unnecessarily

 

그래서 그대가 이해할 때,

그대는 구름처럼 살아왔다는 것을

그대가, '난 하늘이다'라 알아차리면

이제 구름이 하늘을 가리는 것인가

 

사실 이런 식으로, 들러붙는 것이란 없다

그대가 존재의 자리에서 본다

다양함은 죄가 아니다

선과 악, 옳고 그름의 놀이도, 그것에 의미가 있다

표현들이 정제될 수 있다

그리고 가장 높이 정제된 것은 이해다

그것은 불필요하게 너무나 많은 고통을 주는, 개념들을 제거한다,

그런 개념들을 해소한다

 

on these pain giving concepts, they are subjective

means they are not real in themselves

when i said, the maing of anything is not in the thing,

but in the mind of one perceiving it

they say there are 7 and a half billion human beings

how many billion beings are they? beingness

it's not form

 

이런 고통을 주는 개념들, 그것들은 주관적이다

그것들 자체로 실제는 아니라는 뜻이다

내가, 어떤 것의 의미는 그것에 있지 않고, 그것을 인식하는 자의 마음에 있다 라 할 때가 그것이다

 

75억의 인구수라고 한다

존재로는, 얼마나 많은 존재인 건가

존재는 형상이 아닌 것으로

 

these things you'll understand in a not just mental way

spiritual understanding means what, it's like mirror,

it just reflects something that cannot be seen

if i tell you, you cannot see yourself,

you may feel distressed about it

if i realize myself, will my face disappear?

it was never really the obstacle

have your face and enjoy

 

이런 것들을 그대가 단지 정신적 방식으로가 아니게 이해하게 될 것이다

영적 이해란, 거울과 같다는 뜻이다

보일 수 없는 것을 비추어 보이는 것

내가 그대에게, 그대는 그대 자신을 볼 수 없다고 말하면,

그것에 대해 고통스러울 수도 있다
